“Whoever desires a religion other than submission (Islam) from him it will not be accepted and in the hereafter he will be among the losers.” [Al Imran 3:85]

ومن يبتغ غير الاسلام دينا فلن يقبل منه وهو في الآخرة من الخاسرين

Muhammad Ibn Ali reported that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) was asked about the verse: “Whoever desires a religion other than submission (Islam) from him it will not be accepted and in the hereafter he will be among the losers.” (3:85) He said: “It is submission (Islam) which includes faith (Iman).” [Al-Hidayah of As-Saduq, page 56]

عن محمد بن علي عن الإمام الصادق عليه السلام أنه سئل عن قوله عز وجل ومن يبتغ غير الإسلام دينا فلن يقبل منه وهو في الآخرة من الخاسرين فقال: هو الإسلام الذي فيه الإيمان

Husain Ibn Ali reported that Imam Ali (a.) said: “O you people, no honor is higher than submission (Islam).” [Tuhaf-ul-Uqul of Al-Harrani, page 93]

عن الحسين بن علي عن الإمام علي عليه السلام قال: أيها الناس إنه لا شرف أعلى من الاسلام

Muhammad Ibn Ali reported that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) about the verse “Whoever desires a religion other than submission (Islam) from him it will not be accepted and in the hereafter he will be among the losers.” (3:85) Said: “Wanting another (religion) besides submission (Taslim) for the sake of our closeness (Wilayah).” [Manaqib Al Abi Talib by Ibn Shahr Ashub, Volume 4 Page 307 – 308]

عن محمد بن علي عن الإمام الصادق عليه السلام في قوله تعالى: ومن يبتغ غير الاسلام دينا فلن يقبل منه وهو في الآخرة من الخاسرين فقال: غير التسليم لولايتنا

Husain Ibn Khalid reported that Imam Ar-Rida (a.) said: “Our followers are submitting to our command, accepting our statements and opposing our enemies (Mukhalif), but he who is not so, is not from us.” [Al-Fusul of Al-Amili, Volume 1 Page 576]

وفي كتاب صفات الشيعة، عن أبيه، عن علي بن إبراهيم، عن أبيه، عن علي بن معبد، عن الحسين بن خالد، عن الرضا عليه السلام قال: شيعتنا المسلمون لأمرنا الآخذون بقولنا المخالفون لأعدائنا فمن لم يكن كذلك فليس منا

Asbagh Ibn Nabatah reported that Imam Ali (a.) said: “Do not die except being in submission and whoever desires a religion other than submission (Islam) it will not be accepted from him and in the hereafter he will be among the losers.” [Al-Bihar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 93 Page 306 – 307]

عن الأصبغ بن نباتة عن الإمام علي عليه السلام أنه قال: لا تموتن إلا وأنتم مسلمون ومن يبتغ غير الاسلام دينا فلن يقبل منه وهو في الآخرة من الخاسرين

Umairah reported that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said: “People have been commanded to acknowledge us, to surrender and submit to us (Taslim), and even if they fast and pray and testify that there is no God except God, while inwardly they are inclined not to surrender to us, they are therefore associates (Mushrik).” [Al-Kafi of Al-Kulaini, Volume 2 Page 398]

يونس، عن داود بن فرقد، عن حسان الجمال، عن عميرة، عن أبي عبد الله عليه السلام قال سمعته يقول: أمر الناس بمعرفتنا والرد إلينا والتسليم لنا، ثم قال: وإن صاموا وصلوا وشهدوا أن لا إله إلا الله وجعلوا في أنفسهم أن لا يردوا إلينا كانوا بذلك مشركين
