Rib’i reported that Imam Zain-ul-Abidin (a.) said:“By God, none of us will go into the battlefield before the Rising one (Qa’im) appears, except that his parable is like the parable of a bird that flies out of his nest before his wings are ready, after which the children take him and play with him.” [Bihar-ul-Anwar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 52 page 303 Hadith 68]

عن محمد عن علي عن إبراهيم عن حماد عن ربعي عن الإمام زين العابدين عليه السلام قال: والله لا يخرج واحد منا قبل خروج القائم إلا كان مثله مثل فرخ طار من وكره قبل أن يستوي جناحاه، فأخذه الصبيان فعبثوا به

Abu Ruman reported that Imam Ali (a.) said: “After the eclipse, a caller at the beginning of the day shouts from heaven: “The truth is with the family of Muhammad!” At the end of the day, a caller shouts: “The truth is among the children of Jesus!” But this is a boast from Satan.” [Al-Malahim of Ibn Tawus, page 133 Hadith 148]

عن نعيم عن وليد ورشيدين عن ابن لهيعة عن أبي قبيل عن أبي رومان عن أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام قال: بعد الخسف ينادي مناد من السماء إن الحق في آل محمد في أول النهار ثم ينادي مناد في آخر النهار إن الحق في ولد عيسى وذلك نخوة من الشيطان

Jabir Ibn Yazid reported that Imam Al-Baqir (a.) said: “Stand still as long as heaven and earth stand still, so do not fight against anyone! Your matter is not hidden. It is a sign from God, not from men. It is brighter than the sun, which is not hidden from the righteous or the wicked. Do you know the morning? It is like the morning from which nothing is hidden.” [Al-Ghaibah of An-Nu’mani, page 207 – 208 Hadith 17]

حدثنا علي بن أحمد، عن عبيد الله بن موسى العلوي، عن محمد بن الحسين، عن محمد بن سنان، عن عمار بن مروان، عن منخل بن جميل، عن جابر ابن يزيد، عن أبي جعفر الباقر عليه السلام أنه قال: اسكنوا ما سكنت السماوات والأرض، أي لا تخرجوا على أحد فإن أمركم ليس به خفاء، إلا إنها آية من الله عز وجل ليست من الناس، ألا إنها أضوء من الشمس لا تخفى على بر ولا فاجر، أتعرفون الصبح؟ فإنها كالصبح ليس به خفاء

Bashir reported that he spoke to Imam As-Sadiq (a.): “I saw in my sleep that i told you: “Fighting with someone else besides the Imam, to whom obedience is obligatory, is as forbidden (Haram) as the corpse, blood and pork.” (2:173) Whereupon you said: “Yes, that is exactly the way it is!” He said: ” It is like this, it is like this!” [Al-Kafi by Al-Kulaini, volume 5 page 27 Hadith 2]

محمد بن يحيى، عن محمد بن الحسين، عن علي بن النعمان، عن سويد القلانسي، عن بشير، عن أبي عبد الله عليه السلام قال: قلت له: إني رأيت في المنام أني قلت لك إن القتال مع غير الإمام المفترض طاعته حرام مثل الميتة والدم ولحم الخنزير فقلت لي نعم هو كذلك فقال أبو عبد الله عليه السلام: هو كذلك هو كذلك

Umar Ibn Hanzalah reported that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said: “There are five signs before the revolt of the rising one (Qa’im): The cry, the descendant of Abu Sufyan, the darkness, the murder of the pure soul and the Yamani.” I said: “My life be sacrificed to you, if a descendant of the people of your house goes to the battlefield before these signs, do we go to the battlefield with him?” He said: “No!” [Al-Wasa’il of Al-Amili, volume 15 page 52 Hadith 7]

وعنه، عن أحمد، عن عن علي بن أيوب الحكم، عن أبي بن الخزاز، فداك عمر أنخرج أنخرج حنظلة قال: سمعت أبا عبد الله عليه السلام يقول: خمس علامات قبل قيام القائم الصيحة، والسفياني والخسف وقتل النفس أحد واليماني فقلت جعلت: جعلت فداك إن خرج أحد من أهل بيتك قبل هذه العلامات العلامات أنخرج معه؟ قال: لا

Mutawakkil Ibn Harun reported that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said: “Neither did a descendant of us (sayed), the people of the household go into the battle, to remove an injustice, or to bring justice, except that evil destroys him, and his rebellion leads to an increase of hatred for us and our followers.” [Madinat-ul-Ma’ajiz of Al-Bahrani, vol. 6 page 142]

عن الحسن محمد بن الحسن بن أحمد بن على بن محمد بن عمر بن يحيى عن محمد بن أحمد بن شهريار عن محمد بن محمد بن أحمد بن عبد العزيز عن محمد بن عبد الله بن المطلب عن جعفر بن محمد بن جعفر بن الحسن بن جعفر بن الحسن بن الحسن بن علي ابن أبي طالب عن عبد الله بن عمر بن خطاب عن علي بن النعمان عن عمير بن المتوكل عن المتوكل بن هارون عن جعفر بن محمد الصادق عليهما السلام قال: ما خرج ولا يخرج منا أهل البيت إلى قيام قائمنا أحد ليدفع ظلما أو ينعش حقا إلا اصطلمته البلية وكان قيامه زيادة في مكروهنا وشيعتنا

Muhammad Ibn Husain reported that Imam Ali (a.) said: “Stay firm on the ground and endure the misfortune and move neither your hands nor your swords in the lust of your tongues and do not rush to what God does not rush for you, for whoever of you dies on his bed, knowing the right of his Lord and the right of His Messenger and the people of his house, dies a martyr. His reward is due to God, and the reward of what he intended of his righteous deed is due to him, and the intention takes the place of his drawing from his sword, for everything has a time and a term.” [Al-Wasa’il of Al-Amili, Volume 15 Pages 55 – 56 Hadith 15]

محمد بن الحسين الرضي الموسوي في نهج البلاغة عن أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام أنه قال في خطبة له: الزموا الأرض واصبروا على البلاء، ولا تحركوا بأيديكم وسيوفكم في هوى ألسنتكم ولا تستعجلوا بما لم يعجل الله لكم، فإنه من مات منكم على فراشه وهو على معرفة حق ربه وحق رسوله وأهل بيته مات شهيدا، ووقع اجره على الله واستوجب ثواب ما نوى من صالح عمله، وقامت النية مقام اصلاته بسيفه، فان لكل شئ مدة واجلا

Abdullah Ibn Abdi l-Aziz reported that Imam Ali (a.) said: “O you people, stay firm on the ground and beware of the astray people from the Family of Muhammad (s.), because the astray people from the Family of Muhammad (s.) will go into the battle and will not see what they love because of their transgression of my order and disregard of my covenant. A flag from the descendants of Husain (a.) goes into the war. They publish in Kufah the claim of Umayyah and the plague seizes the people. God tests the best of the creatures until He separates the bad from the good and people break away from each other and that drags on until God gives them salvation through a man from the family of Muhammad (s). Whoever of my descendants went into the battlefield did not act according to my actions and did not walk according to my way of life and so thus I renounce him. Each of my descendants who goes into the battlefield before the Mahdi (ajf) is only a victim. Beware of the deceivers among the descendants of Fatimah (a.), for among the descendants of Fatimah (a.) are deceivers! A deceiver goes from Tigris into the battlefield in Basrah, but he does not belong to me and he is the head of all deceivers.” Radi-ud-Din Ibn Tawus writes: “This tradition clearly contains the prohibition from our master Ali (a.) for his descendants, that one of them goes into the battlefield before the Mahdi (ajf).” [Al-Malahim of Ibn Tawus, page 122 – 123 Hadith 362]

قال: حدثنا أبو سهل، قال: حدثنا محمد بن عبد المؤمن، قال: حدثنا أحمد بن محمد بن غالب، قال: أخبرنا هدية بن عبد الوهاب عن عبد الحميد عن عبد الله بن عبد العزيز قال قال لي علي بن أبي طالب وخطب بالكوفة فقال: يا أيها الناس ألزموا الأرض من بعدي، وإياكم والشذاذ من آل محمد، فإنه يخرج شذاذ آل محمد، فلا يرون ما يحبون، لعصيانهم أمري، ونبذهم عهدي، وتخرج راية من ولد الحسين تظهر بالكوفة بدعاية الأمية ويشمل الناس البلاء، ويبتلي الله خير الخلق حتى يميز الخبيث من الطيب، ويتبرأ الناس بعضهم من بعض، ويطول ذلك حتى يفرج الله عنهم برجل من آل محمد، ومن خرج من ولدي فعمل بغير عملي وسار بغير سيرتي فأنا منه بريء، وكل من خرج من ولدي قبل المهدي فإنما هو جزور وإياكم والدجالين من ولد فاطمة، فإن من ولد فاطمة دجالين، ويخرج دجال من دجلة البصرة، وليس مني وهو مقدمة الدجالين كلهم قال رضي الدين ابن طاووس: هذا حديث صريح بنهي مولانا علي عليه السلام ولده أن يخرج أحد منهم قبل المهدي عليه السلام
