Iys Ibn Al-Qasim reported that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said: “Zaid (a.) was a knowledgeable and a truthful man.” [Al-Kafi of Al-Kulaini, Volume 8 Page 264 Hadith 381]

علي بن إبراهيم، عن أبيه، عن صفوان بن يحيى، عن عيص بن القاسم قال: سمعت أبا عبد الله عليه السلام يقول: فإن زيدا كان عالما وكان صدوقا

Al-Ahwal reported that he asked to Zaid, the son of Ali (a.): ” May my life be sacrificed to you, are you better or the prophets?” He said: “Certainly the prophets.” [Al-Kafi of Al-Kulaini, Volume 1 Page 174 Hadith 5]

عدة من أصحابنا، عن أحمد بن محمد بن عيسى، عن علي بن الحكم، عن أبان عن الأحول عن زيد بن علي بن الحسين عليهما السلام قال: ثم قلت له جعلت فداك أنتم أفضل أم الأنبياء؟ قال: بل الأنبياء

Ja’far As-Sadiq (a.) reported that the Prophet Muhammad (a.) said: “Let no one say: ‘I am better than Jonah the son of Matthew (a.).” [Bihar-ul-Anwar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 14 page 392 Hadith 11]

عن الصادق عليه السلام عن الرسول صلى الله عليه وآله قال: ما ينبغي لاحد أن يقول أنا خير من يونس ابن متى عليه السلام

Jamil reported that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said: “People are of three kinds: a knowledgeable one, a student and a layer of foam (on a boiling liquid). So we are the knowing ones, our followers are the students and the rest of the people are a layer of foam (on a boiling liquid).” [Al-Kafi of Al-Kulaini, Volume 1 Page 34 Hadith 4]

علي بن إبراهيم، عن محمد بن عيسى، عن يونس، عن جميل، عن أبي عبد الله عليه السلام قال سمعته يقول: يغدوا الناس على ثلاثة أصناف عالم ومتعلم وغثاء، فنحن العلماء وشيعتنا المتعلمون وسائر الناس غثاء

Abdullah Shubbar reported that the Prophet Muhammad (s.) said: “The knowledgeable ones of my nation are better than the prophets of the Children of Israel.” [Jannat-ul-Ma’wa by Kashif Al-Ghita’, page 185]

عن عبد الله شبر رحمه الله: روى عن النبي صلى‌ الله‌ عليه‌ وآله قال: علماء أمتي أفضل من أنبياء بني إسرائيل

Hasan Ibn Yunus reported that the Prophet Muhammad (s.) said: “The knowledgeable ones of my nation are like the prophets of the children of Israel.” [Mustadrak-ul-Wasa’il of An-Nuri, volume 17 page 320 Hadith 30]

عن الحسن بن يونس عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم قال: علماء أمتي كأنبياء بني إسرائيل

Muhammad Abd-ur-Ra’uf Al-Munawi writes: “The Prophet appears with no other legislation, but affirms the legislation before him and therefore the Messenger of God (s.) said: “The knowledgeable ones of my nation are like the prophets of the Children of Israel.” [Faid-ul-Qadir Fi Sharhi l-Jami’i s-Saghir, Volume 1 Page 21]

قال محمد عبد الرؤوف المناوي: ان النبي لا يأتي بشريعة جديدة وإنما يجئ مقررا لشرع من قبله ولهذا قال المصطفى: علماء أمتي كأنبياء بني إسرائيل

Fakhr-ud-Din Ar-Razi writes: “As for the perfect man, he is either perfect and not able to perfect the others and these are the guardians, or he is perfect and is able to perfect the imperfect and these are the prophets and therefore the Messenger of God (s.) said: “The knowledgeable ones of my nation are like the prophets of the children of Israel.” [At-Tafsir-ul-Kabir / Mafatih-ul-Ghaib, Volume 19 page 78]

قال فخر الدين الرازي: وأما الكامل فإما أن يكون كاملا ولا يقدر على تكميل الغير وهم الأولياء، وإما أن يكون كاملا ويقدر على تكميل الناقصين وهم الأنبياء ولذلك قال عليه السلام: علماء أمتي كأنبياء بني إسرائيل

Ali Ibn Abi Talib (a.) reported that the Prophet Muhammad (s.) said: “The knowledgeable ones are the luminous signs of the earth and the successors of the prophets. They are my heirs and the heirs of the Prophets.” Muhammad Nasir-ud-Din Al-Albani writes:“Weak (Da’if).” [Sahih Wa Da’if-ul-Jami’i s-Saghir, Hadith 8324]
