Question:

Was Abu Bakr praised by the scholar Muhammad Baqir As-Sadr?

Answer:

Muhammad Baqir As-Sadr writes: “Thus begins the Islamic history of Fadak. It was in the possession of the Messenger (God bless him and his family), for it belonged to that which was not damaged by either a horse or a camel. Then he gave it to his daughter Az-Zahra’ and it remained in her possession until her father died (God bless him and his family). Then the first successor (may God be pleased with him) snatched it from her according to the confession of the author of As-Sawa’iq-ul-Muhriqah, and it became part of the source of general wealth and the wealth of the state at that time until Umar took over the succession. He then returned Fadak to the heir of the Messenger (God bless him and his family) and Fadak remained in the possession of the family of Muhammad (God bless him and his family) until Uthman Ibn Affan took care of the succession.” [Fadak Fi At-Tarikh, page 26]
