Ishaq Ibn Abdillah reported that Imam Al-Hadi (a.) said:“The 17th of the month Rabi’-ul-Awwal is the day on which the Messenger of God (s.) was born.” [Al-Khara’ij Wa l-Jara’ih of Ar-Rawandi, Volume 2 page 760]

عن سعيد بن هبة الله عن إسحاق بن عبد الله عن الإمام الهادي عليه السلام قال: اليوم السابع عشر من شهر ربيع الأول وهو اليوم الذي ولد فيه رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله

Muhammad Ibn Hasan reported that the Imams (a.) said: “Whoever fasts on the 17th day of the month Rabi’-ul-Awwal, God writes down to him the fast of one year.” [Misbah-ul-Mutajahhid of At-Tusi, page 791]

عن محمد بن الحسن عن الأئمة عليهما السلام قالوا: من صام يوم السابع عشر من شهر ربيع الأول كتب الله له صيام سنة

محمد بن الحسن بإسناده عن أبي عبد الله بن عياش عن أحمد بن زياد وعلي بن محمد التستري وعن محمد بن الليث عن إسحاق بن عبد الله عن أبي الحسن علي بن محمد عليه السلام في حديث: إن الأيام التي يصام فيهن أربع منها يوم مولد النبي صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم يوم السابع عشر من شهر ربيع الأول

Muhammad Al-Ukbari reported that the Imams (a.) said: “Whoever fasts on the 17th day of the month Rabi’-ul-Awwal, which is the birthday of our Lord, the Messenger (s.), God writes down the fast of a year for him.” [Masar-ush-Shi’ah of Al-Mufid, page 50]

عن محمد العكبري عن الأئمة عليهم السلام قالوا: من صام اليوم السابع عشر من شهر ربيع الأول وهو مولد سيدنا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله كتب الله سبحانه له صيام سنة

Muhammad Baqir Al-Majlisi writes: “This includes the visit on the 17th day of the month Rabi’-ul-Awwal, which is the birthday of the Messenger of God (s.) and a group of our companions like Al-Kulaini held the view that it would be on the 12th day of the month Rabi’-ul-Awwal, as is common amongst our rivals (Sunnis) , but the weakness of this view was already clarified during the discourse about the deeds of the Sunnah.” [Bihar-ul-Anwar, Volume 97 page 373]

قال الشيخ محمد باقر المجلسي: ومنها زيارة يوم السابع عشر من شهر ربيع الأول وهو يوم مولد النبي صلى الله عليه وآله وذهب شرذمة من أصحابنا كالكليني إلى أنه اليوم الثاني عشر من ربيع الأول كما هو المشهور بين المخالفين وقد مر بيان ضعف هذا القول في سياق اعمال السنة
