Hasan Ibn Mahbub berichtete, dass Ali Ibn Abi Hamzah sagte: “Abu Hanifah said one day to Musa Ibn Ja’far (Al-Kazim): ﴾Tell me which your father preferred: The aloe wood or the long-necked lute?﴿ He said: ﴾No. Rather the aloe wood.﴿ So they asked him about it, to which he said: ﴾He loves the aloe wood of incense and hates the long-necked lute.﴿” [Mustadrak-ul-Wasa’il by An-Nuri, Volume 1, Page 426, Hadith 1069]

عن محمد العكبري عن الحسن بن محبوب عن علي بن أبي حمزة قال قال أبو حنيفة يوما لموسى بن جعفر عليه السلام: أخبرني أي شيء كان أحب إلى أبيك العود أم الطنبور قال لا بل العود فسئل عن ذلك فقال عليه السلام: يحب عود البخور ويبغض عود الطنبور
