Abdullah Ibn Mas’ud reported that the Prophet Muhammad (s.) said: “The fire is denied to him who believed in me and loved Ali and came close to him. God curse him who has fought and opposed Ali. Ali is as important to me as the skin between the eye and the eyelid.” [Bihar-ul-Anwar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 39 page 247 Hadith 5]

الفحام، عن المنصوري، عن عم أبيه، عن أبي الحسن الثالث، عن آبائه عليهم السلام، عن جابر قال: سمعت ابن مسعود يقول: قال النبي صلى الله عليه وآله: حرمت النار على من آمن بي وأحب عليا وتولاه، ولعن الله من ماري عليا وناواه، علي مني كجلدة ما بين العين والحاجب

The Messenger (s.) reported that God said: “If all the people united to the closeness (Wilayah) to Ali, I would not have created the fire.” [Bihar-ul-Anwar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 39 page 247 Hadith 4]

Abdullah Ibn Abbas reported that the Prophet Muhammad (s.) said: “If all people were in love (Hubb) with Ali, the son of Abu Talib, God would not have created the fire.” [Bihar-ul-Anwar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 39 page 248 Hadith 8]

الفردوس طاوس عن ابن عباس قال النبي صلى الله عليه وآله: إن الناس لو اجتمعوا على حب علي بن أبي طالب عليه السلام لما خلق الله النار

Abdullah Ibn Abbas reported that the Messenger (s.) spoke to Ali (a.): “If the creatures were united to you in the closeness (Wilayah), God would not have created the fire. But you and your followers are the successful ones on the Day of Resurrection.” [Bihar-ul-Anwar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 39 page 248 Hadith 9]

Jalal-ud-Din reported that Abdullah Ibn Abbas said: “The love for Ali Ibn Abi Talib (a.) devours sins as fire devours firewood and if the people had united in love (Hubb) for him, God would not have created hell.” [Al-Hawi Lil-Fatawa, page 54]

Awf Ibn Abi Uthman Al-Hindi reported that a man spoke to Salman: “What increases your love for Ali?” Salman said: “I heard the Prophet Muhammad (s.) say: “He who loves Ali loves me, and he who is angry with Ali is angry with me.“ Al-Hakim An-Naisaburi writes: “According to the two scholars, this tradition is authentic (Sahih) and the two have not published it.” Muhammad Ibn Ahmad Adh-Dhahabi writes: “It meets the conditions of Al-Bukhari and Muslim.” [Al-Mustadrak Ala As-Sahihain of Al-Hakim, Hadith 4648]

أخبرني أحمد بن عثمان بن يحيى المقري ببغداد ثنا أبو بكر بن أبي العوام الرياحي ثنا أبو زيد سعيد بن أوس الأنصاري ثنا عوف بن أبي عثمان النهدي قال: قال رجل لسلمان ما أشد حبك لعلي قال: سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم يقول: من أحب عليا فقد أحبني ومن أبغض عليا فقد أبغضني. وقال الحاكم النيسابوري: هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين ولم يخرجاه تعليق الذهبي قي التلخيص: على شرط البخاري ومسلم

Umm Salamah testified that she heard the Prophet Muhammad (s.) say: “He who loves Ali loves me and he who loves me loves God. He who is angry with Ali is angry with me, and he who is angry with me is angry with God.” Nur-ud-Din Al-Haithami writes: “At-Tabarani reported it and the tradition is good according to its chain (Hasan).” [Majma’-uz-Zawa’id of Al-Haithami, Hadith 14757]
