Who is the fool for whom there is no cure?

Khulaid Ibn Awfa reported that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said: “He who pleases himself goes to ruin and he who pleases his own opinion goes to ruin, because Jesus, the son of Mary (a.), said: “i treated the sick and healed them with the permission of God, i healed the blind and the lepers with the permission of God, and i treated the dead and raised them to life with the permission of God, but when treating the fool, i could not heal him.” They said to him: “O Spirit of God, who is the fool?” He said: “Whosoever pleases his own mind and his own self. He who thinks that all virtue is for him and not against him, and that he himself must be right in all things, and that no one is right towards him, that is the fool for whom there is no cure.” [Al-Ikhtisas of Al-Mufid, page 221]

عن محمد بن محمد عن أبي جعفر عن محمد بن موسى عن علي بن إبراهيم عن إبراهيم بن هاشم عن أحمد بن محمد عن عبد الكريم بن عمرو عن خليد بن أوفى عن الإمام الصادق عليه السلام قال: من أعجب بنفسه هلك، ومن أعجب برأيه هلك، وإن عيسى ابن مريم عليه السلام قال: داويت المرضى فشفيتهم بإذن الله وأبرأت الأكمه و الأبرص بإذن الله وعالجت الموتى فأحييتهم بإذن الله وعالجت الأحمق فلم أقدر على إصلاحه، فقيل يا روح الله وما الأحمق؟ قال: المعجب برأيه ونفسه، الذي يرى الفضل كله له لا عليه ويوجب الحق كله لنفسه ولا يوجب عليها حقا فذاك الأحمق الذي لا حيلة في مداواته

Thabit Ibn Dinar reported that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said: “Beware of giving such a position to a man without proof that you confirm him in everything he says.” [Al-Kafi of Al-Kulaini, Volume 2 Page 298]
