What are the reports on the authenticity of Tafsir al-Qummi?

Answer:

Ali Ibn Ibrahim Al-Qumi writes: “We mention and report, what has reached us and what our teachers and trustworthy ones (Thiqah) have narrated from those to whom God made obedience and imposed the closeness to them  and no deed is accepted except through them, which are those whom God has described and made obligatory to ask and accept from them, so that He said: “So ask the people of reminder if you do not know.” (21:7) So now their knowledge comes from the messenger of God (s.)” [Tafsir-ul-Qumi, volume 1, page 4]

نحن ذاكرون ومخبرون بما ينتهى الينا ورواه مشايخنا وثقاتنا عن الذين فرض الله طاعتهم وأوجب ولايتهم ولا يقبل عمل الا بهم وهم الذين وصفهم الله تبارك وتعالى وفرض سؤالهم والاخذ منهم فقال فاسألوا أهل الذكر ان كنتم لا تعلمون فعلمهم عن رسول الله

Al-Hurr Al-Amili writes: “Ali Ibn Ibrahim has already testified that the traditions of his exegesis (Tafsir Al-Qummi) are firm (Thabit) and that they have been reported from the imams (a.) through the trustworthy narrators.” [Wasa’il-ush-Shi’ah, volume 20 page 68]

قال الحر العاملي:  وقد شهد علي بن إبراهيم أيضا بثبوت أحاديث تفسيره وأنها مروية عن الثقات عن الأئمة عليهم السلام

Abu Al-Qasim Al-Khu’i writes: “We consider all the teachers of Ali Ibn Ibrahim, of whom he reports in his exegesis (Tafsir Al-Qummi), with the chains of narrators ending with one of the infallible (a.), to be trustworthy (Thiqah).“ [Mu’jam Rijal Al-Hadith, Volume 1 Page 49]

قال أبو القاسم الخوئي: نحكم بوثاقة جميع مشايخ علي بن إبراهيم الذين روى عنهم في تفسيره مع انتهاء السند إلى أحد المعصومين عليهم السلام

Ja’far Ibn Muhammad As-Subhani writes: “It seems that everyone in the chain of narrators of the narrations of the Infallible (a.) reported in the exegesis of Ali Ibn Ibrahim (Tafsir Al-Qummi), are trustworthy (Thiqah), because Ali Ibn Ibrahim testified to its trustworthiness.” [Kulliyyat Fi Ilm Ar-Rijal, page 309]

قال جعفر بن محمد السبحاني: ربما يستظهر أن كل من وقع في أسناد روايات تفسير علي بن إبراهيم المنتهية إلى المعصومين عليهم السلام ثقة، لان علي بن إبراهيم شهد بوثاقته
