Muhammad Ibn Hasan reported that he said to Imam Al-Jawad (a.): “May my life be sacrificed to you, our elders narrated from Al-Baqir (a.) and As-Sadiq (a.), while the fear was so great that they hid their writings and did not narrate them, but when they died, the writings fell into our hands.” He said: ” Narrate from them, for they are true!” [Al-Kafi of Al-Kulaini, Volume 1 Page 53 Hadith 15]

عدة من أصحابنا، عن أحمد بن محمد، عن محمد بن الحسن بن أبي خالد شينولة قال: قلت لأبي جعفر الثاني عليه السلام: جعلت فداك إن مشايخنا رووا عن أبي جعفر وأبي عبد الله عليهما السلام وكانت التقية شديدة فكتموا كتبهم ولم ترو عنهم فلما ماتوا صارت الكتب إلينا فقال: حدثوا بها فإنها حق

Ahmad Ibn Umar reported that he asked Imam Ar-Rida (a.): “A man from our companions gives me a writing, but he does not say: “Narrate them from me!” May i narrate them from him?” He said: “If you know that it is his writing, narrate them from him!” [Al-Kafi of Al-Kulaini, Volume 1 Page 52 Hadith 6]

عنه، بإسناده عن أحمد بن عمر الحلال قال: قلت لأبي الحسن الرضا عليه السلام: الرجل من أصحابنا يعطيني الكتاب ولا يقول: اروه عني يجوز لي أن أرويه عنه؟ قال: فقال: إذا علمت أن الكتاب له فاروه عنه

Ubaid Ibn Zurarah reported that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said: “Preserve your writings, for you will need them!” [Al-Kafi of Al-Kulaini, Volume 1 Page 52 Hadith 10]

محمد بن يحيى، عن أحمد بن محمد بن عيسى، عن الحسن بن علي بن فضال عن ابن بكير، عن عبيد بن زرارة قال: قال أبو عبد الله عليه السلام: احتفظوا بكتبكم فإنكم سوف تحتاجون إليها

Abu Basir reported that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said: “Write, for you will not preserve it until you write!” [Al-Kafi of Al-Kulaini, Volume 1 Page 52 Hadith 9]

لحسين بن محمد، عن معلى بن محمد، عن الحسن بن علي الوشاء، عن عاصم بن حميد عن أبي بصير قال: سمعت أبا عبد الله عليه السلام يقول: اكتبوا فإنكم لا تحفظون حتى تكتبوا

Mufaddal Ibn Umar reported that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said: “Write and spread your knowledge among your brothers and sisters, for when you die, your children will inherit your writings. A time is coming upon the people in which they will not trust in anything but their writings.” [Al-Kafi of Al-Kulaini, Volume 1 Page 52 Hadith 11]

عدة من أصحابنا، عن أحمد بن محمد بن خالد البرقي، عن بعض أصحابه، عن أبي سعيد الخيبري، عن المفضل بن عمر، قال: قال لي أبو عبد الله عليه السلام: اكتب وبث علمك في إخوانك، فإن مت فأورث كتبك بنيك، فإنه يأتي على الناس زمان هرج لا يأنسون فيه إلا بكتبهم

Husain Al-Ahmasi reported that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said: “The heart places its trust in the writing.” [Al-Kafi of Al-Kulaini, Volume 1 Page 52 Hadith 8]

علي بن محمد بن عبد الله، عن أحمد بن محمد، عن أبي أيوب المدني، عن ابن أبي عمير، عن حسين الأحمسي، عن أبي عبد الله عليه السلام قال: القلب يتكل على الكتابة

Ali Ibn Abi Talib (a.) reported that the Prophet Muhammad (s.) said: “There will come a time upon the people in which nothing of the Qur’an remains except its writing and nothing of Islam remains except its name. They will make people hear about it, although they are the most distant people from it. Their prayer houses are overcrowded but are empty of guidance. The understanding (Fuqaha’) of that time are the worst under the heavens. From them comes out the temptation and to them it is returned.” [Al-Kafi of Al-Kulaini, Volume 8 Page 308 Hadith 479]

علي بن إبراهيم، عن أبيه، عن النوفلي، عن السكوني، عن أبي عبد الله عليه السلام قال: قال أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله: سيأتي على الناس زمان لا يبقى من القرآن إلا رسمه ومن الاسلام إلا اسمه، يسمعون به وهم أبعد الناس منه، مساجدهم عامرة وهي خراب من الهدى، فقهاء ذلك الزمان شر فقهاء تحت ظل السماء منهم خرجت الفتنة وإليهم تعود

Yazid Ibn Abdi l-Malik reported that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said: “Visit each other, for in your visit there is that which keeps your hearts alive and makes you remember our sayings and our sayings connect you with each other. If you accept them, you are guided and saved and if you leave them, you are misguided and you will perish. Accept them and i promise you your salvation.” [Al-Kafi of Al-Kulaini, Volume 2 Page 186 Hadith 2]

محمد بن يحيى، عن محمد بن الحسين، عن محمد بن إسماعيل بن بزيع، عن صالح بن عقبة، عن يزيد بن عبد الملك، عن أبي عبد الله عليه السلام قال: تزاوروا فإن في زيارتكم إحياء لقلوبكم وذكرا لأحاديثنا، وأحاديثنا تعطف بعضكم على بعض فإن أخذتم بها رشدتم ونجوتم وإن تركتموها ضللتم وهلكتم، فخذوا بها وأنا بنجاتكم زعيم

Abu Basir reported that he asked Imam As-Sadiq (a.): ” We have things that come to us that we do not know in either the Scripture of God or the Sunnah. Do we form our own opinion about it?” He said: “No, because if you are right, you will not be rewarded, and if you are wrong, you will have lied about God.” [Al-Kafi of Al-Kulaini, Volume 1 Page 56 Hadith 11]

محمد بن يحيى، عن أحمد بن محمد، عن الوشاء، عن مثنى الحناط، عن أبي بصير قال: قلت لأبي عبد الله عليه السلام: ترد علينا أشياء ليس نعرفها في كتاب الله ولا سنة فننظر فيها؟ فقال: لا، أما إنك إن أصبت لم تؤجر، وإن أخطأت كذبت على الله عز وجل

Abu l-Husain Ibn Tamam reported that Abdullah Al-Kufi said: “The elder, that is Abu l-Qasim Ibn Ruh, was questioned about the writings of Ibn Abi l-Azaqir after he was condemned and cursed. They said to him: “How do we deal with them when our houses are full of them?” He said: I say about them what i heard the father of Muhammad, Hasan Ibn Ali (a.), say when he was questioned about the writings of the children of Faddal. They said: How do we deal with their writings when our houses are full of them?” He said: “Take what they narrated and leave out what they have said by their own opinion.” [Al-Ghaibah of At-Tusi, pp. 389 – 390 hadith 355]

وقال أبو الحسين بن تمام: حدثني عبد الله الكوفي خادم الشيخ الحسين بن روح رضي الله عنه، قال: سئل الشيخ يعني أبا القاسم رضي الله عنه عن كتب ابن أبي العزاقر بعدما ذم وخرجت فيه اللعنة، فقيل له: فكيف نعمل بكتبه وبيوتنا منها ملاء؟ فقال: أقول فيها ما قاله أبو محمد الحسن بن علي صلوات الله عليهما وقد سئل عن كتب بني فضال، فقالوا: كيف نعمل بكتبهم وبيوتنا منها ملاء؟ فقال صلوات الله عليه: خذوا بما رووا وذروا ما رأوا
