Imām Kāẓim (a.s.) said: “A man from the people of Qum calls people to the truth. People will gather with him like solid pieces of iron. Stormy winds do not shake them. They are neither exhausted from war nor do they waver. They trust in God, and the outcome belongs to those who fear God.”[Biḥār-ul-Anwār, volume 57 page 216]

قَالَ الْإِمَامُ الْكَاظِمُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ: رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ قُمّ يَدْعُو النَّاسَ إِلَى الْحَقِّ يَجْتَمِعُ مَعَهُ قَوْمٌ كَزُبُرِ الْحَديدِ لَا تُزِلُّهُمُ الرِّياحُ الْعَواصِفُ، وَلا يَمَلُّونَ مِنَ الْحَرْبِ، وَلا يَجْبُنُونَ، وَعَلَى اللهِ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ، وَالْعاقِبَةُ لِلْمُتَّقينَ

Imām Zain-ul-ʿĀbidīn (a.s.) said: “When our Rising one [Qāʾim] rises, God will remove the deficiency of our followers [Shīʿah] and make their hearts like solid pieces of iron and give the man of them the strength of forty men and they will be the judges [Ḥākim] and the heads of the earth.”[Biḥār-ul-Anwār, volume 52 page 317]

قَالَ الْإِمَامُ زَيْنُ الْعَابِدِينَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ: إِذَا قَامَ قَائِمُنَا أَذْهَبَ اَللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ عَنْ شِيعَتِنَا الْعَاهَةَ وَجَعَلَ قُلُوبَهُمْ كَزُبَرِ اَلْحَدِيدِ وَ جَعَلَ قُوَّةَ الرَّجُلِ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةَ أَرْبَعِينَ رَجُلاً وَ يَكُونُونَ حُكَّامَ الْأَرْضِ وَسَنَامَهَا 

Imām Ṣādiq (a.s.) said: “Do you know why it was named Qum?”They said: “God, His messenger and you know better.” He (a.s.) said: “It was only named as Qum, because its people gather with the Rising one [Qāʾim] of the family of Muḥammad (sawa) and they rise up with him, remain upright towards him and give him support.”[Biḥār-ul-Anwār, volume 57 page 216]

قَالَ الْإِمَامٌ الصّّادِقُ: أَتَدْرِي لِمَ سُمِّيَ قُمَ؟ فَقِيلَ لَهُ: اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ وَأَنْتَ أَعْلَمُ فَقَالَ: إِنَّمَا سُمِّيَ قُمَ لِأَنَّ أَهْلَهُ يَجْتَمِعُونَ مَعَ قَائِمِ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَوَاتُ اللهِ عَلَيْهِ وَيَقُومُونَ مَعَهُ وَيَسْتَقِيمُونَ عَلَيْهِ وَيَنْصُرُونَهُ
