From Zaid ibn Ali (r.a.), from his fathers (a.s.) who said: “The Messenger of Allah (s.a.) said: Fast that which is kept secret by God (s.a.)” one said: “What is that which is kept secret by God (s.a.)?” He said: “The day of doubt.” [Wasa’il-ush-Shi’ah, volume 10, page 300]

وعن أبي خالد ، عن زيد بن علي ، عن آبائه ( عليهم السلام ) قال : قال رسول الله ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم ) : صوموا سر الله ، قيل : ما سر الله ؟ قال : يوم الشك

From Shuʿaib Al-Aqarqufi, who said: “I asked Abu Abdillah (sa) about a man fasting on the day of doubt, so that he considers it as belonging to the month of Ramadan?” He said: “A day on which God (s.a.) gave him success.” [Wasa’il-ush-Shi’ah, volume 10, page 300]

وعن شعيب العقرقوفي قال : سألت أبا عبدالله ( عليه السلام ) عن رجل صام في اليوم الذي يشك فيه فوجده من شهر رمضان ؟ فقال : يوم وفقه الله له

From Al-Kahili, who said: “I asked Abu Abdillah (sa) about the day on which there is doubt whether it is from Sha’ban.” So he said: “I would rather fast one day of Sha’ban than break one day of the month of Ramadan.” [Wasa’il-ush-Shi’ah, volume 10, page 300]

وعن زكريا بن آدم ، عن الكاهلي قال : سألت أبا عبدالله ( عليه السلام ) عن اليوم الذي يشك فيه من شعبان ؟ فقال : لان أصوم يوما من شعبان أحب إلي من أن افطر يوما من شهر رمضان
