And from Ahmad bin Muhammad, from Ali bin Al-Hassan, from Ahmad bin Sabih, from ‘Bite Al-Abd who said: “The Prophet (s.) kept fasting in Sha’ban and Ramadan and on three days in each month: the first Thursday, the middle Wednesday and the last Thursday and also Abu Ja’far and Abu Abdillah (a.) fasted according to this principle.” [Mustadrak-ul-Wasa’il Volume 7 Page 97]

وعن أحمد بن محمد ، عن علي بن الحسن ، عن أحمد بن صبيح ، عن عنبسة العابد قال : قبض النبي ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم ) على صوم شعبان ورمضان وثلاثة أيام في كل شهر : أول خميس ، وأوسط أربعاء ، وآخر خميس ، وكان أبوجعفر وأبو عبدالله ( عليهما السلام ) يصومان ذلك

From Muhammad bin Ahmad bin Al-Hassan Al-Atar, from Abd Al-Rahman bin abi Hatim, from Al-Hajjaj bin abi Hamzah, from Yazid, from Sadaqah, from Thabit, from Anas who said: “The Messenger of God (s.) was asked:” Which fast is most excellent?” He (s.) said: “On Sha’ban in honour of Ramadan.” [Wasa’il-ush-Shi’ah, volume 10, page 502]

عن محمد بن أحمد بن الحسن العطار ، عن عبدالرحمن بن أبي حاتم ، عن الحجاج بن أبي حمزة ، عن يزيد ، عن صدقة ، عن ثابت ، عن أنس قال : سُئل رسول الله ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم ) : أي الصيام أفضل ؟ قال : شعبان تعظيما لرمضان

From Jafar bin Muhammed bin Ma’sud Al-Ayyashi from his father, from Ali bin Al-Hassan bin Ali bin Fadhil, from Muhammed bin Al-Walid, from Al-Abbas bin Hilal who said: “I heard Aba Al-Hassan Ali bin Musa Al-Ridha (sa.) who said: “Whoever from the Sha’ban fasted one day for the reward of God, he entered paradise. Whoever fasted three days from Sha’ban and combined it with fasting in the month of Ramadan, God wrote down to him the fast of two consecutive months.” [Wasa’il-ush-Shi’ah, volume 10, page 504]

عن جعفربن محمد بن مسعود العياشي ، عن أبيه ، عن علي بن الحسن بن علي بن فضال ، عن محمد بن الوليد ، عن العباس بن هلال قال : سمعت أبا الحسن علي بن موسى الرضا ( عليه السلام ) يقول : من صام من شعبان يوما واحدا ابتغاء ثواب الله دخل الجنة ـ إلى أن قال : ـ ومن صام ثلاثة أيام من شعبان ووصلها بصيام شهر رمضان كتب الله له صوم شهرين متتابعين

It was reported by Imam Ali bin Musa Al-Ridha (see also) that he said: “Whoever says every day in the Shaa’ban 70 times: “I ask Allah for forgiveness and ask Him for attention.” So Allah (swt.) writes down for him the release from Hellfire and lets him pass the transition [in the hereafter] and lets him enter the dwelling place of eternal life.”[Ayun-Al-Akhbar Al-Ridha (as.), Volume 1, Page 62]

رُوِيَ عن الإمام علي بن موسى الرضا ( عليه السَّلام ) أنهُ قال:
مَن قال في كل يومٍ من شعبان سبعين مرة :“ أستغفر الله وأسأله التوبة “ كتب الله تعالى له براءة ًمن النار ، وجوازاً على الصراط ، وأدخله دار القرار

The messenger of God (s.a) said: “Fasting in the heat is jihad.” [Bihar-ul-Anwar, Volume 96, Page 257]

قال رسول الله صلي الله عليه و آله الصوم فى الحر جهاد
