It was reported to Husain Ibn Aban that Imam Al-Baqir (a.) said: “If you love someone for the sake of God, God would reward you for loving him, even if God knows that the one who is loved is one of the people of fire, and if you hate someone for the sake of God, God would reward you for hating him, even if God knows that the one who is hated is one of the people of paradise.” [Al-Bihar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 66, Page 248, Hadith 23]

محمد بن يعقوب عن عن العدة، عن أحمد بن محمد بن خالد البرقي، عن أبي علي الواسطي، عن الحسين ابن أبان، عمن ذكره عن محمد بن علي الباقر عليهما السلام قال: لو أن رجلا أحب رجلا لله لاثابه الله على حبه إياه، وإن كان المحبوب في علم الله من أهل النار، ولو أن رجلا أبغض رجلا لله، لاثابه الله على بغضه إياه، وإن كان المبغض في علم الله من أهل الجنة

Mas’adah Ibn Sadaqah reported that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said: “One day i mentioned the caution to Ali Ibn Husain (Zain-ul-Abidin), whereupon he said: “By God, if Abu Dharr knew what was in the heart of Salman, he would kill him and the Messenger of God (s.) made them brothers. So what do you expect from the rest of the people? The knowledge of those who know is difficult and tedious. No one can endure it except a sent prophet or a near-by angel or a believing servant whose heart has been tested by God for faith, and he said: “Salman became one of the knowing only because he is one of us people of the house. For this reason, i ascribed him to the knowledgeable.” [Al-Bihar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 22, Page 343, Hadith 53]

محمد بن يعقوب عن أحمد بن إدريس، عن عمران بن موسى، عن هارون بن مسلم، عن مسعدة بن صدقة عن جعفب بن محمد الصادق عليه السلام قال: ذكرت التقية يوما عند علي بن الحسين عليهما السلام فقال: والله لو علم أبو ذر ما في قلب سلمان لقتله، ولقد آخى رسول الله بينهما فما ظنكم بسائر الخلق إن علم العلماء صعب مستصعب، لا يحتمله إلا نبي مرسل أو ملك مقرب، أو عبد مؤمن امتحن الله قلبه للايمان، فقال: وإنما صار سلمان من العلماء لأنه امرؤ منا أهل البيت، فلذلك نسبته إلى العلماء

Abd-ul-Aziz Al-Qaratisi reported that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said: “Faith has ten steps equal to a ladder. One ascends from it step by step. Thus, he who has one should not say to he who has two: “You are not standing on anything.” Till he reaches the tenth, and do not throw him down who is below you, upon which he who is above you throws you down. Now when you see the one who is under you, let him come up to you gently, and do not burden him with what he cannot bear, upon which you break him, for whoever breaks a believer, it is incumbent upon him to set him right, and Miqdad stood on the eighth, Abu Dharr on the ninth and Salman on the tenth.” [Al-Bihar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 22, Page 351, Hadith 75]

محمد بن علي بن الحسين عن ابن الوليد عن أحمد بن إدريس عن محمد بن أحمد عن أبي عبد الله الرازي عن ابن أبي عثمان عن محمد بن حماد عن عبد العزيز القراطيسي عن جعفر بن محمد الصادق عليهما السلام قال: إن الايمان عشر درجات بمنزلة السلم، يصعد منه مرقاة بعد مرقاة، فلا يقولن صاحب الواحد لصاحب الاثنين: لست على شيء حتى ينتهي إلى العاشر ولا تسقط من هو دونك فيسقطك الذي هو فوقك فإذا رأيت من هو أسفل منك فارفعه إليك برفق ولا تحملن عليه مالا يطيق فتكسره، فإنه من كسر مؤمنا فعليه جبره، وكان المقداد في الثامنة وأبو ذر في التاسعة وسلمان في العاشرة

Ja’far Al-Kunasi reported that he asked Imam As-Sadiq (a.): “What is the least that makes a servant a believer?” He said: “He testifies that there is no God but God, and Muhammad (s.) is His servant and messenger, and testifies to obedience and knows the Imam (a.) of his time. Now if he did this, he is a believer.” [Al-Bihar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 66, Page 16, Hadith 1]

محمد بن علي بن الحسن عن ابن الوليد، عن الصفار عن ابن عيسى عن الحسين بن سعيد عن ابن أبي عمير عن حماد بن عثمان عن جعفر الكناسي عن جعفر بن محمد الصادق عليهما السلام أنه سأله: ما أدنى ما يكون به العبد مؤمنا قال: يشهد أن لا إله إلا الله و أن محمدا عبده ورسوله، ويقر بالطاعة ويعرف إمام زمانه، فإذا فعل ذلك فهو مؤمن

Umairah Bint Nufail reported that Imam Zain-ul-Abidin (a.) said: “This matter you are waiting for will not happen until you distance yourselves from each other and curse each other and spit in each other’s faces and until you declare each other disbelievers.” I said: “There will be no good at that time?” He said: “All good things come at that time when the Rising one (Qa’im) rises from us and removes all that.” [Al-Bihar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 52, Page 211, Hadith 58]

محمد بن الحسن عن الفضل عن عبد الله بن جبلة عن أبي عمار عن علي بن أبي المغيرة عن عبد الله بن شريك العامري، عن عميرة بنت نفيل عن علي بن الحسين زين العابدين عليهما السلام قال: لا يكون هذا الامر الذي تنتظرون حتى يبرأ بعضكم من بعض ويلعن بعضكم بعضا ويتفل بعضكم في وجه بعض وحتى يشهد بعضكم بالكفر على بعض قلت: ما في ذلك خير قال: الخير كله في ذلك عند ذلك يقوم قائمنا فيرفع ذلك كله

Sabbah Ibn Sayabah reported that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said: “What is it with you and distance (Bara’ah)? You are distancing yourselves from each other. Some of the believers excel before the others and some of them pray more than others and some of them are more insightful than others and they have levels.” [Al-Bihar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 66, Page 168, Hadith 7]

محمد بن يعقوب عن محمد بن يحيى عن أحمد بن محمد بن عيسى عن علي بن الحكم عن محمد بن سنان عن الصباح بن سيابة عن جعفر بن محمد الصادق عليهما السلام قال: ما أنتم والبراءة، يبرء بعضكم من بعض، إن المؤمنين بعضهم أفضل من بعض وبعضهم أكثر صلاة من بعض وبعضهم أنفذ بصرا من بعض وهي الدرجات

Muhammad Ibn Hamdan reported that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said: “If you want to be with us on the Day of Resurrection, you should not curse each other. So beware of God and be obedient, for God says: “On the day when all men are called with their Imam.” (17:71) [Al-Bihar of Al-Majlisi, volume 8, page 14, hadith 18]

محمد بن مسعود عم محمد بن حمدان عن جعفر بن محمد الصادق عليهما السلام قال: إن كنتم تريدون أن تكونوا معنا يوم القيامة لا يلعن بعضكم بعضا، فاتقوا الله وأطيعوا فإن الله يقول: يوم ندعو كل أناس بإمامهم

Ya’qub Ibn Dahhak reported that Sarraj, a servant of As-Sadiq (a.), said: “When Abu Abdillah (a.) was in Hirah, he sent me and a band of his kinsmen for a concern. So we set out for it. Afterwards we went back grieving.” He said: “My place to sleep was in Ha’ir, where we had taken shelter. I arrived now while I was undergoing a condition. So I threw myself down. When I was in this situation, I found myself in the presence of Abu Abdillah (a.) who had arrived. Then he said: “We came to you.” Or he said: “We have arrived to you.” So i sat upright and he sat down in the middle of my sleeping place. So he questioned me about what he had sent me for. Then i told him about it. Then he praised God. Then some people were mentioned whereupon i said: May my life be sacrificed to you. We will distance ourselves from them. They do not say what we say.” Then he said: “They are close to us and they do not say what you say. You are distancing yourselves from them,” I said: “Yes.” He said: “So we have that which you do not have. So should we distance ourselves from you?” I said: “No, may my life be sacrificed for you.” He said: “And God has what we do not have. Can you see it? Do you reject us?” I said: “No, by God. May my life be sacrificed for you. We do not.” He said: “Then stand close to them and do not move from them. Among the Muslims is he who has one share, among them is he who has two shares, among them is he who has three shares, among them is he who has four shares, among them is he who has five shares, among them is he who has six shares and among them is he who has seven shares. So now he who has one share shall not take on himself that of him who has two shares and he who has three shares shall not take on himself that of him who has three shares and he who has four shares shall not take on himself that of him who has five shares and he who has five shares shall not take on himself that of him who has six shares and he who has six shares shall not take on himself that of him who has seven shares, and i shall make you a parable. Someone had a neighbor who was a Nazarene (Christian). So he called him to Islam and adorned it for him. Then he accepted it. So he came to him at dawn and knocked on his door. And he said unto him: “Who is there?” He said: “I am so and so.” And he said: “What is it that you want?” He said: “Take the ablution and put on both of your robes and join us in prayer.” So he washed, put on both his robes and left with him. Then they both prayed as much as God wanted. Then they said their morning prayers. Then they stayed until they went into the morning. So he who was a Nazarene stood up to go to his residence, but the man said to him: “Where are you going? The day is short and there is not much between you and noon.” So he sat with him until noon prayer. Then he said: “There’s not much between noon and the afternoon.” So he held him until he said the afternoon prayer. Then he got up as he was leaving for his residence, but he said to him: “That is the end of the day and less than its beginning.”So he held him back until he performed the evening prayer. Then he went to his residence, whereupon he said to him: “There is but one prayer left.” So he stayed until he said the evening prayer. After that, each went his own way. When the next morning dawned for him, he knocked on his door. He said: “Who is it?” He said: “I am so and so.” He said: “What do you want?” He said: “Take the ablution, put on both your robes and come with us to pray.” He said: “Find someone for this religion who has more free time than i do, for i am a needy person and have people to care for.” Then Abu Abdillah (a.) said: “He made him enter something, from which he made him leave.” Or he said: “He made him join something like this and made him leave something like that.” [Al-Bihar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 66, Pages 161-163, Hadith 2]

محمد بن يعقوب عن أبي علي الأشعري عن محمد بن عبد الجبار ومحمد بن يحيى عن أحمد ابن محمد بن عيسى جميعا، عن ابن فضال عن الحسن بن الجهم عن أبي اليقظان عن يعقوب بن الضحاك عن رجل من أصحابنا سراج وكان خادما لأبي عبد الله عليه السلام قال: بعثني أبو عبد الله عليه السلام في حاجة وهو بالحيرة أنا وجماعة من مواليه قال: فانطلقنا فيها ثم رجعنا مغتمين قال: وكان فراشي في الحائر الذي كنا فيه نزولا فجئت وأنا بحال فرميت بنفسي، فبينا أنا كذلك إذا أنا بأبي عبد الله قد أقبل قال: فقال قد أتيناك أو قال جئناك، فاستويت جالسا وجلس على صدر فراشي فسألني عما بعثني له، فأخبرته فحمد الله ثم جرى ذكر قوم فقلت: جعلت فداك، إنا نبرأ منهم إنهم لا يقولون ما نقول، فقال: يتولونا ولا يقولون ما تقولون تبرؤون منهم قال: قلت نعم، قال: فهو ذا عندنا ما ليس عندكم فينبغي لنا أن نبرأ منكم؟ قال: قلت: لا جعلت فداك، قال: وهو ذا عند الله ما ليس عندنا أفتراه أطرحنا قال: قلت: لا والله جعلت فداك، ما نفعل، قال: فتولوهم ولا تبرؤا منهم. إن من المسلمين من له سهم، ومنهم من له سهمان، ومنهم من له ثلاثة أسهم، ومنهم من له أربعة أسهم، ومنهم من له خمسة أسهم، ومنهم من له ستة أسهم ومنهم من له سبعة أسهم، فلا ينبغي أن يحمل صاحب السهم على ما عليه صاحب السهمين ولا صاحب السهمين على ما عليه صاحب الثلاثة، ولا صاحب الثلاثة على ما عليه صاحب الأربعة، ولا صاحب الأربعة على ما عليه صاحب الخمسة، ولا صاحب الخمسة على ما عليه صاحب الستة ولا صاحب الستة على ما عليه صاحب السبعة. وسأضرب لك مثلا إن رجلا كان له جار وكان نصرانيا فدعاء إلى الاسلام وزينه له فأجابه فأتاه سحيرا فقرع عليه الباب فقال له: من هذا؟ قال: أنا فلان، قال: وما حاجتك؟ قال: توضأ والبس ثوبيك ومر بنا إلى الصلاة، قال: فتوضأ ولبس ثوبيه وخرج معه، قال: فصليا ما شاء الله، ثم صليا الفجر، ثم مكثا حتى أصبحا فقام الذي كان نصرانيا يريد منزله، قال: فقال له الرجل: أين تذهب؟ النهار قصير، والذي بينك وبين الظهر قليل، قال: فجلس معه إلى صلاة الظهر ثم قال: وما بين الظهر والعصر قليل، فاحتبسه حتى صلى العصر، قال: ثم قام وأراد أن ينصرف إلى منزله، فقال له: إن هذا آخر النهار، وأقل من أوله فاحتبسه حتى صلى المغرب ثم أراد أن ينصرف إلى منزله، فقال له: إنما بقيت صلاة واحدة قال: فمكث حتى صلى العشاء الآخرة، ثم تفرقا. فلما كان سحيرا غدا عليه، فضرب عليه الباب، فقال: من هذا؟ فقال: أنا فلان، قال: وما حاجتك؟ قال: توضأ والبس ثوبيك واخرج بنا فصل، قال: اطلب لهذا الدين من هو أفرغ مني وأنا إنسان مسكين وعلي عيال، فقال: أبو عبد الله عليه السلام أدخله في شيء أخرجه منه أو قال: أدخله في مثل ذه وأخرجه من مثل هذا
