Asbagh Ibn Nubatah reported that Imam Ali (a.) said:“The religion of God is not known by people, but by the sign of truth. So know the truth, then you know their people. The truth is the best saying (hadith) and its preacher is someone who is undergoing effort (mujahid) and i report the truth to you, so give me your ear.” [Al-Wasa’il of Al-Amili, volume 27, page 135, hadith 32]

عن الأصبغ بن نباتة عن الإمام علي عليه السلام قال: إن دين الله لا يعرف بالرجال بل بآية الحق فاعرف الحق تعرف أهله إن الحق أحسن الحديث والصادع به مجاهد وبالحق أخبرك فأرعني سمعك

Jabir Ibn Abdillah reported that the Prophet Muhammad (s.) said: “The best saying (hadith) is the scripture of God.” [Al-Amali from At-Tusi, page 502, hadith 26]

عن جابر بن عبد الله عن النبي صلى الله عليه وآله قال: إن أحسن الحديث كتاب الله

Muhammad Ibn Husain reported that Imam Ali (a.) said: “Learn the Qur’an, for it is the best saying (hadith) and become understanding (faqih) in relation to it, for it is the spring of the hearts and seek salvation through its light, for it is a healing for the breasts and present its reading in a good way, for it is the best of the narrations.” [Nahj-ul-Balaghah of Ar-Radi, page 293, sermon 108]

عن محمد بن الحسين عن الإمام عليه السلام قال: وتعلموا القرآن فإنه أحسن الحديث وتفقهوا فيه فإنه ربيع القلوب واستشفوا بنوره فإنه شفاء الصدور وأحسنوا تلاوته فإنه أحسن القصص

Companions of Ibn Sulaiman reported that they asked Imam Ar-Rida (a.): “May my life be sacrificed to you, we hear verses in the Qur’an that are not as with us, the way we hear them, and we cannot read them as good as it reached us from you, so are we sinning?” He said: “No, read as you have learned, for someone will come to you to teach you.” [Al-Fusul of Al-Amili, Volume 3, Page 315, Hadith 2]

عن أصحاب ابن سليمان عن الإمام الرضا عليه السلام قال: قلت له جعلت فداك إنا نسمع الآيات في القرآن ليس هي عندنا كما نسمعها ولا نحسن أن نقرأها كما بلغنا عنكم فهل نأثم؟ فقال: لا اقرؤوا كما تعلمتم فسيجيئكم من يعلمكم

Mufaddal Ibn Umar reported that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said: “You are obliged to read the Qur’an, because the stages of paradise correspond to the number of verses of the Qur’an. When the Day of Resurrection comes, then one addresses the reader of the Qur’an: “Read and rise up.” Every time he reads a verse, he climbs one stage.” [Al-Amali of As-Saduq, page 263, hadith 10]

عن عن المفضل بن عمر عن الإمام الصادق عليه السلام قال: وعليكم بتلاوة القرآن فإن درجات الجنة على عدد آيات القرآن فإذا كان يوم القيامة يقال لقارئ القرآن اقرأ وارق فكلما قرأ آية رقي درجة
