Husain Ibn Mundhir reported that he said to Imam As-Sadiq (a.): “We hire the Kurds to tend the sheep and they only worship the fire and things similar to it and so the yoke is dropped and they slaughter and sell it.” He said: “I do not love that you do it with your property. The slaughtering is a name and no one is entrusted with the name except a Muslim.” [Al-Istibsar of At-Tusi, Volume 4, Page 81]

عنه عن محمد بن سنان عن الحسين بن المنذر قال: قلت لأبي عبد الله عليه السلام إنا نتكارى هؤلاء الأكراد في اقطاع الغنم وإنما هم عبدة النيران وأشباه ذلك فتسقط العارضة فيذبحونها ويبيعونها، فقال: ما أحب أن تفعله في مالك إنما الذبيحة اسم ولا يؤمن على الاسم إلا المسلم

Abu r-Rabi’ Ash-Shami reported that he asked Imam As-Sadiq (a.): “With us there are a group of Kurds who are constantly carrying goods for sale. Should we get involved with them and start selling?” He said: “O Abu Ar-Rabi’, do not get involved with them, for the Kurds are of the living of those who hide (Jinn) themselves, of whom Allah has uncovered the veil, so do not get involved with them!” [Tadhkirat-ul-Fuqaha’ by Al-Hilli. Volume 12 page 178]

وسأل أبو الربيع الشامي الصادق عليه السلام فقلت: إن عندنا قوما من الأكراد وإنهم لا يزالون يجيئون بالبيع فنخالطهم ونبايعهم، فقال: يا أبا الربيع لا تخالطوهم، فإن الأكراد حي من أحياء الجن كشف الله عنهم الغطاء، فلا تخالطوهم

محمد بن الحسن باسناده عن الحسين بن سعيد، عن محمد بن سنان، عن الحسين بن المنذر، قال: قلت لأبي عبد الله عليه السلام: إنا نتكارى هؤلاء الأكراد في قطاع الغنم، وإنما هم عبدة النيران وأشباه ذلك، فتسقط العارضة، فيذبحونها، ويبيعونها، فقال: ما أحب أن تجعله في مالك، إنما الذبيحة اسم، ولا يؤمن على الاسم الا مسلم

Abu Rabi’ Ash-Shami reported that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said: “Do not marry any of the Kurds, for they are a gender of those who hide (jinn), of whom the veil was uncovered.” [Al-Kafi of Al-Kulaini, Volume 5 Page 352 Hadith 2]

علي بن إبراهيم، عن إسماعيل بن محمد المكي، عن علي بن الحسين، عن عمرو بن عثمان، عن الحسين بن خالد، عمن ذكره، عن أبي الربيع الشامي قال: قال لي أبو عبد الله عليه السلام: ولا تنكحوا من الأكراد أحدا فإنهم جنس من الجن كشف عنهم الغطاء

Humran Ibn A’yan reported that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said: “Islam is that which is externally (Zahir) manifested in word and deed and this is the case with the community of people from all groups and thus their blood is protected and on it is based the right of inheritance and the permissibility of the marriage.” [Al-Hada’iq-un-Nadirah of Al-Bahrani, Volume 24 page 68 Hadith 1]

عن حمران بن أعين عن أبي عبد الله عليه السلام أنه قال: والإسلام ما ظهر من قول أو فعل وهو الذي عليه جماعة الناس من الفرق كلها وبه حقنت الدماء وعليه جرت المواريث وجاز النكاح

Since a thousand years later most of the Kurds have left their old faith, there should be no problem in marriage which is based on Islam.
