Sulaim reported that Talhah said to Imam Ali (a.): “Tell me about what Umar and Uthman wrote down. Is all of it a Qur’an or is there something in it that is not a Qur’an?” He said: “Yes, all of it is a Qur’an. If you obey what is in it, you will be saved from the fire and enter paradise, for in it is our proof and the exposition of our authority and our right and the obligation to obey us.” Talhah said: ” It is sufficient for me, because if it is a Qur’an, it is sufficient for me.” [Kitab Sulaim, page 212]

عن أبان عن سليم عن طلحة أنه قال للإمام علي عليه السلام: فأخبرني عما كتب عمر وعثمان، أقرآن كله أم فيه ما ليس بقرآن؟ قال عليه السلام: بل هو قرآن كله، إن أخذتم بما فيه نجوتم من النار ودخلتم الجنة، فإن فيه حجتنا وبيان أمرنا وحقنا وفرض طاعتنا. فقال طلحة: حسبي، أما إذا كان قرآنا فحسبي

Hasan As-Saiqal reported that he asked Imam As-Sadiq (a.): “In how many readings was the Qur’an sent down?” He said: “In one reading.” I said: “From where did the differences come from?” He said: “From the narrators. The Qur’an was written down on palm leaves and leather hides and people used to come and take it from it.” [Al-Qira’at of As-Sayyari, page 8 Hadith 10]

عن محمد بن أحمد عن الحسين بن سيف عن أخيه عن أبيه عن أبي بكر الربيع الأسدي عن الحسن الصيقل قال: قلت  لأبي عبد الله عليه السلام: على كم حرف نزل القرآن؟ فقال: على حرف واحد. قلت: من أين جاء هذا الاختلاف؟ قال: من قبل الرواة إن القرآن كان مكنوبا في الجريد والأدم وكان الناس يأتون فيأخذون منه

Yazid Ibn Abdillah reported that Imam Al-Jawad (a.) said: “Recognize those who resemble the monks and rabbis who hid and falsified the Scriptures. Neither did their trade benefit them, nor were they rightly guided. Recognize thereafter those who are like them from this nation! They upheld the letters of the Scriptures and falsified its boundaries.” [Al-Kafi of Al-Kulaini, Volume 8 Page 54 Hadith 16]

عن يزيد بن عبد الله عن الإمام محمد الجواد عليه السلام قال: فأعرف أشباه الأحبار والرهبان الذين ساروا بكتمان الكتاب وتحريفه فما ربحت تجارتهم وما كانوا مهتدين ثم اعرف أشباههم من هذه الامة الذين أقاموا حروف الكتاب وحرفوا حدوده
