Ni’matullah Ibn Muhammad Al-Jaza’iri writes:

الْـغُـرَابِـيَّـةُ قَـالُـوا مَـحَـمَّـدٌ بِـعَـلِـيٍّ أَشْـبَـهُ مِـنَ الْـغُـرَابِ بِـالْـغُـرَابِ وَالـذُّبَـابِ بِـالـذُّبَـابِ فَـبَـعَـثَ الـلَّـهُ جِـبْـرَائِـيـلَ إِلَـى عَـلِـيٍّ عَـلَـيْـهِ الـسَّـلَامُ فَـغَـلِـطَ جِـبْـرَائِـيـلُ فِـي تَـبْـلِـيـغِ الـرِّسَـالَـةِ مِـنْ عَـلِـيٍّ إِلَـى مُـحَـمَّـدٍ قَـالَ شَـاعِـرُهُـمْ: غَـلِـطَ الْأَمِـيـنُ عَـنْ حَـيْـدَرَةَ فَـيَـلْـعَـنُـونَ صَـاحِـبَ الرِّيـشِ يَـعْـنِـي جِـبْـرَائِـيـلَ

“The Ghurabites said: ‘Muhammad sees Ali more similar to one raven to the other raven and like one fly to the other fly. Then God sent Gabriel to Ali, but Gabriel mistook Muhammad for Ali when he delivered the message.” One of their poets said: “The Trusted One missed Haidar.” So they curse the feathered one, that is Gabriel.” [Al-Anwar-un-Nu’maniyyah, Volume 2, Page 208]
