Salim reported that Abdullah Ibn Umar said: “The Prophet Muhammad (s.) sent Khalid Ibn Al-Walid to the sons of Jadhimah to invite them to Islam. They did not prefer to say: “We accept Islam. But they said: “We convert, we convert.” Khalid killed some of them and took others captive and he gave each one of us a prisoner until one day Khalid gave the order that each one of us should kill his prisoner. So I said: “No, by God, I will neither kill my prisoner nor will my companions kill their prisoners!” Until we brought it before the messenger (s.) and told him about it. Thereupon he raised his hands and said twice: “God, I dissociate myself from what Khalid has done!” [Sahih Al-Bukhari, Hadith 4084]

حدثني محمود حدثنا عبد الرزاق أخبرنا معمر ح وحدثني نعيم أخبرنا عبد الله أخبرنا معمر عن الزهري عن سالم عن أبيه (عبد الله بن عمر) قال بعث النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم خالد بن الوليد إلى بني جذيمة فدعاهم إلى الإسلام فلم يحسنوا أن يقولوا أسلمنا فجعلوا يقولون صبأنا صبأنا فجعل خالد يقتل منهم ويأسر ودفع إلى كل رجل منا أسيره حتى إذا كان يوم أمر خالد أن يقتل كل رجل منا أسيره فقلت والله لا أقتل أسيري ولا يقتل رجل من أصحابي أسيره حتى قدمنا على النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فذكرناه فرفع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يده فقال اللهم إني أبرأ إليك مما صنع خالد مرتين

Buraidah reported that a woman came from Ghamid and said: “O Messenger of God, I committed adultery, so purify me! But he sent her away, and the next day she said: “O Messenger of God, why have you sent me away? It may be that you sent me away as Ma’iz did. By God, I have a child.” He said: “If you insist, go until it is born.” When she gave birth, she came to him with the child in a shawl and said: “This one I have given birth to.” He said: “Go and suckle it until you wean it.” When she had weaned him, she came to him with the child and he had a piece of bread in his hand. She said: “O Prophet of God, I have weaned him, and he is already feeding. He handed it over to a man from the Muslims and then issued an order for her. She was placed in a hole that had been dug up to her chest and he ordered the people to stone her. Khalid Ibn Al-Walid came forward with a stone and threw it at her head so that her blood splashed into his face. Then he insulted her and when the Prophet Muhammad (s.) heard about it he said: “Stop, O Khalid! By Him in Whose hand is my soul, she repented to such an extent that through this repentance even someone who is negligent in giving would be forgiven.” Then he issued an order because of her and prayed for her and laid her.” [Sahih Muslim, Hadith 3208]

وحدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة حدثنا عبد الله بن نمير ح وحدثنا محمد بن عبد الله بن نمير وتقاربا في لفظ الحديث حدثنا أبي حدثنا بشير بن المهاجر حدثنا عبد الله بن بريدة عن أبيه قال فجاءت الغامدية فقالت يا رسول الله إني قد زنيت فطهرني وإنه ردها فلما كان الغد قالت يا رسول الله لم تردني لعلك أن تردني كما رددت ماعزا فوالله إني لحبلى قال إما لا فاذهبي حتى تلدي فلما ولدت أتته بالصبي في خرقة قالت هذا قد ولدته قال اذهبي فأرضعيه حتى تفطميه فلما فطمته أتته بالصبي في يده كسرة خبز فقالت هذا يا نبي الله قد فطمته وقد أكل الطعام فدفع الصبي إلى رجل من المسلمين ثم أمر بها فحفر لها إلى صدرها وأمر الناس فرجموها فيقبل خالد بن الوليد بحجر فرمى رأسها فتنضح الدم على وجه خالد فسبها فسمع نبي الله صلى الله عليه وسلم سبه إياها فقال مهلا يا خالد فوالذي نفسي بيده لقد تابت توبة لو تابها صاحب مكس لغفر له ثم أمر بها فصلى عليها ودفنت
