The messenger of God, May God bless him and his pure descendants, said: ,,…Be merciful to them, and if you promise them something, keep it, for they know nothing except that you will provide for them.” [Al-Kāfī of al-Kulainī, Vol. 6, p. 49]

قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم:… وارحموهم وإذا وعدتموهم شيئا ففوا لهم فإنهم لا يدرون إلا أنكم ترزقونهم

Some people said: ,,I complained to Imam al-Kāẓim about one of my boys.” He said: “Do not hit him and avoid him, but not for too long.”[Biḥār-ul-Anwār from al-Majlisī, Vol. 101, P. 99]

وقال بعضهم: شكوت إلى أبى الحسن موسى عليه السلام ابنا لي فقال: لا تضربه واهجره ولا تطل

Imam as-Sadiq, the peace upon him, said: ,,Moses said: O Lord, which of the deeds are dearest to you?” He said: “Love for the children, for I caused them to confess my unity. If I let them die, I will make them enter paradise by my grace.” [Mustadrak Safīnat un-Naǧāt from ʿAlī Namāzī, Vol. 6, p. 551]

قال الإمام الصادق عليه السلام: قال موسى: يا رب أيّ‏ُ الأعمال أفضل عنك؟ قال: حبّ‏ُ الأطفال، فإني فطرتهم على توحيدي، فإن أمَتُّهُمْ أدخلتهم جنتي برحمتي

Imam as-Sadiq, the peace upon him, said: ,,Certainly God has mercy on a servant because of his intense love for his children.” [Mīzān-ul-Ḥikma from Rayschahrī, Vol. 4, p. 3669]

قال الإمام الصادق عليه السلام: إنّ‏َ الله عز وجل ليرحم العبد لشدةِ حبِّه لولده

The messenger of God, May God bless him and his pure offspring, said: ,,He who does not show mercy will find no mercy.” [Wasāʾil-uš-Šīʿa from Ḥurr al-ʿĀmilī, Vol. 21, p. 485]

قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم: من لا يرحم لا يُرحم

Imam Ali, Peace be upon him, said: ,,Kiss your children often, for each kiss you give them is a step in paradise, that has a distance of five hundred years.” [Wasāʾil-uš-Šīʿa from Ḥurr al-ʿĀmilī, Vol. 21, p. 485]

قال الإمام علي عليه السلام: أكثروا من قبلة أولادكم فإن لكم بكل قبلة درجةً في الجنَّة مسيرةَ خمسمائةِ عامٍ

The messenger of God, May God bless him and his pure offspring, said: ,,Whoever kisses his child will receive a benefit written down by God, and whoever gives him joy, God will give him joy on the day of resurrection.” [Al-Kāfī from al-Kulainī, Vol. 6, p. 49]

قالَ رسولُ الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم: من قبَّل ولده كتب الله عز وجل له حسنة، ومن فرّحه فرَّحه الله يومَ القيامة…

The messenger of God, May God bless him and his pure offspring, said: ,,Whoever has a child, let him behave like a child towards him.” [Wasāʾil-uš-Šīʿa from Ḥurr al-ʿĀmilī, Vol. 21, p. 486]

قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم: من كان عنده صبي فليتصاب له

,,The messenger, May God bless him and his pure descendants, used to play with Ḥasan and Ḫusain, Peace be upon them, and behave in a childish manner towards them. So it says in the narration of Jābir that he said: ,,I entered the Prophet while Ḥasan and Ḥusain were sitting on his back and he knelt before them and said: “How good your camel is and how good you are as riders.” [Biḥār-ul-Anwār from al-Maǧlisī, Vol. 43, p. 285]

أن الرسول الأكرم صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم كان يلاعب الحسن والحسين عليه السلام ويتصابى لهما، ففي الرواية عن جابر قال: دخلت على النبي والحسن والحسين عليه السلام على ظهره وهو يجثو لهما ويقول: نعم الجمل جملكما، ونعم العدلان أنتما

The messenger of God, May God bless him and his pure descendants, said: ,,Do not strike your children when they cry, for their weeping is for four months the testimony that there is only one God, and four months the blessing of the prophet and his pure descendants, and four months the supplication for their parents.” [Wasāʾil-uš-Šīʿa from Ḥurr al-ʿĀmilī, Vol. 21, p. 447]

قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم: لا تضربوا أطفالكم على بكائهم فإن بكاءهم أربعة أشهر شهادة أن لا إله إلا الله، وأربعة أشهر الصلاة على النبي وآله، وأربعة أشهر الدعاء لوالديه

Imam Ali, Peace be upon him, said about the child who becomes ill: ,,An atonement for his parents.” [Al-Kāfī of al-Kulainī, Vol. 6, p. 52]

عن أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام في المرض يصيب الصبي فقال عليه السلام: كفارة لوالديه

The messenger of God, May God bless him and his pure offspring, said: ,,With Him in Whose hand is my soul, if someone slept with his wife while a child was in the room, who is awake and sees both and hears their conversation and breath, he would never succeed. If it was a boy, he would become an fornicator and if it was a girl, she would become an fornicator.” [Al-Kāfī of al-Kulainī, Volume 5, P. 500]

الإمام الصادق عليه السلام قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم: والذي نفسي بيده لو أن رجلا غشي امرأته وفي البيت صبي مستيقظ يراهما ويسمع كلامهما ونفسهما، ما أفلحَ أبداً إذا كانَ غلاماً كانَ زانياً أو جاريةً كانتْ زانيةً

The messenger of God, God bless him and his pure offspring, said: ,,Fear God and be just to your children.” [Mīzān-ul-Ḥikma from Rayschahrī, Vol. 4, p. 3673]

قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم: اتقوا الله واعدلوا في أولادكم

The messenger of God, May God bless him and his pure offspring, said: ,,It is their right that you treat them justly, just as it is your right that they be kind to you.” [Mīzān-ul-Ḥikma from Rayschahrī, Vol. 4, p. 3673]

قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم: إن لهم عليك من الحق أن تعدل بينهم، كما أن لك عليهم من الحق أن يبروك

The messenger of God, May God bless him and his pure offspring, said: ,,Be just among them in giving gifts to your children.” [Mīzān-ul-Ḥikma from Rayschahrī, Vol. 4, p. 3673]

قال الرسول الأكرم صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم:اعدلوا بين أولادكم في النِحَل

The messenger of God, May God bless him and his pure offspring, said: “Treat your children equally when giving gifts. But if I preferred someone, I would prefer the women.” [Mīzān-ul-Ḥikma from Rayschahrī, Vol. 4, p. 3673]

قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله: سَوّوا بَينَ أولادِكُم فِي العَطِيَّةِ، فَلَو كُنتُ مُفَضِّلًا أحَداً لَفَضَّلتُ النِّساءَ

The messenger of God, God bless him and his pure offspring, said: ,,God, the Exalted One loves that you are just to your children, even when kissing.” [Mīzān-ul-Ḥikma from Rayschahrī, Vol. 4, p. 3673]

قال الرسول الأكرم صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم: إن الله تعالى يحب أن تعدلوا بين أولادكم حتى في القبل

The messenger of God, May God bless him and his pure offspring, saw a man who had two children, kissing one of them and not the other. Then the prophet said, May God bless him and his pure offspring: “Shall you not treat them justly?” [Man la yaḥduruhu al-faqīh from faqīh-aṣ, Vol. 3, p. 483]

نظر رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم إلى رجل له ابنان فقبل أحدهما وترك الآخر، فقال له النبي صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم: فهلا واسيت بينهما

The messenger of God, May God bless him and his pure offspring, said: “Whoever had a girl, whom he neither ruined nor humiliated nor preferred his boy before her, God let him enter paradise.” [Mustadrak al-Wasāʾil from al-Mīrzā an-Nūrī, vol. 15, p. 118]

قال الرسول الأكرم صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم: من كان له أنثى فلم يبدها ولم يهنها ولم يؤثر ولده عليها، أدخله الله الجنة

The messenger of God, May God bless him and his pure offspring, said: “The best children are daughters who are screened by curtains. Whoever had such a daughter, God shielded him from the fire with a curtain.” [Mīzān-ul-Ḥikma from Rayschahrī, Vol. 4, p. 3672]

قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم: نعم الولد البنات المخدرات، من كانت عنده واحدة جعلها الله سترا له من النار

The messenger of God, May God bless him and his pure offspring, said: “O my God, I love the two (Ḥasan and Ḥusain), so likewise love the two and love him who loves the two.” [Biḥār-ul-Anwār from al-Maǧlisī, Vol. 37, p. 74]

قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم عن الحسن والحسين عليه السلام: اللهم إني أحبهما فأحبهما وأحب من يحبهما
