Ja’far As-Sadiq (a.) reported that Imam Al-Baqir (a.) said: “Khadijah bore from the messenger of God (s.) Qasim, Tahir, Umm Kulthum, Ruqayyah, Fatimah and Zainab (a.). He married Ali with Fatimah and he married Abu l-As Ibn Rabi’ah, who is one of the children of Umayyah, with Zainab (a.). He married Uthman Ibn Affan with Umm Kulthum, but he did not live with her until her death and the Messenger (s.) married Ruqayyah (a.) to him in her place. After that Umm Ibrahim gave birth to his son Ibrahim and this is Mary the Coptic (a.), which the ruler of Alexandria gave him as a gift with a number of gifts.” [Qurb-ul-Isnad by Al-Himyari Al-Qumi, page 9 Hadith 29].

قال: وحدثني مسعدة بن صدقة قال: حدثني جعفر بن محمد، عن أبيه قال: ولد لرسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله من خديجة: القاسم، والطاهر، وأم كلثوم، ورقية، وفاطمة، وزينب. فتزوج علي عليه السلام فاطمة عليها السلام، وتزوج أبو العاص بن ربيعة – وهو من بني أمية – زينب، وتزوج عثمان بن عفان أم كلثوم ولم يدخل بها حتى هلكت، وزوجه رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله مكانها رقية. ثم ولد لرسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله – من أم إبراهيم – إبراهيم، وهي مارية القبطية، أهداها إليه صاحب الإسكندرية مع البغلة الشهباء وأشياء معها

Abu Basir reported that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said: “Khadijah bore from the messenger of God (s.) Qasim, Tahir called Abdullah, Umm Kulthum, Ruqayyah, Zainab and Fatimah (a.). He married Ali Ibn Abi Talib to Fatimah and he married Abu l-As Ibn Rabi’ah, who is a man among the children of Umayyah, to Zainab (a.). He married Uthman Ibn Affan to Umm Kulthum, but he did not marry her, and when he went to Badr the Messenger (s) married him to Ruqayyah (a.). Mary, the Coptic, bore for the messenger (s.) حدثنا أبي، ومحمد بن الحسن رضي الله عنهما قالا: حدثنا سعد بن – عبد الله، عن أحمد بن أبي عبد الله البرقي، عن أبيه، عن ابن أبي عمير، عن علي بن – أبي حمزة، عن أبي بصير، عن أبي عبد الله عليه السلام قال: ولد لرسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله من خديجة القاسم والطاهر وهو عبد الله، وأم كلثوم، ورقية، وزينب، وفاطمة. وتزوج علي ابن أبي طالب عليه السلام فاطمة عليها السلام، وتزوج أبو العاص بن الربيع وهو رجل من بني أمية زينب، وتزوج عثمان بن عفان أم كلثوم فماتت ولم يدخل بها، فلما ساروا إلى بدر زوجه رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله رقية. وولد لرسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله إبراهيم من مارية القبطية وهي أم إبراهيم أم ولد

Abu Miqdam reported that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said: “When the Messenger of God (s.) entered his home, A’ishah turned to Fatimah (a.) and shouted at her and said: “O daughter of Khadijah, by God, you see only the merit of your mother, but what merit did she have over us? She is nothing but like some of us.” Then the Messenger (s.) heard these words which she addressed to Fatimah (a.) and he saw Fatimah (a.) weeping and said: “What made you weep, O daughter of Muhammad?” Fatimah (a.) said: “She mentioned and humiliated my mother and then I began to weep.” Then the Messenger of God (s.) became angry and said: “What is this, O Humairah? God granted me the blessing of fertility and Khadijah, May God embrace her with His mercy, bore from me Tahir, who is called Abdullah and is a pure boy, and she bore from me Qasim and Fatimah and Ruqayyah and Umm Kulthum and Zainab and you, whose womb God made barren, bore me no one!” [Bihar-ul-Anwar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 16 Page 3 Hadith 6]

ابن الوليد، عن الصفار، عن البرقي، عن أبي علي الواسطي، عن عبد الله ابن عصمة، عن يحيى بن عبد الله، عن عمرو بن أبي المقدام، عن أبيه، عن أبي عبد الله عليه السلام قال: دخل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله منزله، فإذا عائشة مقبلة على فاطمة تصايحها وهي تقول: والله يا بنت خديجة ما ترين إلا أن لامك علينا فضلا، وأي فضل كان لها علينا؟! ما هي إلا كبعضنا، فسمع مقالتها لفاطمة فلما رأت فاطمة رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله بكت، فقال: ما يبكيك يا بنت محمد؟! قالت: ذكرت أمي فتنقصتها فبكيت، فغضب رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله ثم قال: مه يا حميراء، فإن الله تبارك وتعالى بارك في الودود الولود، وإن خديجة رحمها الله ولدت مني طاهرا وهو عبد الله وهو المطهر، وولدت مني القاسم وفاطمة ورقية وأم كلثوم وزينب، وأنت ممن أعقم الله رحمه فلم تلدي شيئا

Ali Ibn Ri’ab reported that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said: “God, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad with the most beneficent and the cleanest and the purest and the best of Your blessings from the first to the last ones You created, O Most Merciful of the Merciful! God, bless Ali, the Commander of the Believers, and be with him who is with him and against him who is against him, and multiply the punishment of those who participate in the shedding of his blood! God, bless Fatimah, the daughter of Your Prophet, Muhammad, peace be upon him and his family, and curse those who have harmed Your Prophet through her! God, bless Hasan and Husain, the Imams of all those who give themselves completely to You, and be with him who is with them and against him who is against them, and increase the punishment of those who participate in the shedding of their blood!” Then mention one Imam after the other to the last of them and say: “God, bless the proof and the successor after him and the Imam of all those who give themselves completely to You, and be with him who is with him and against him who is against him, and hasten his return. God, bless Qasim and Tahir, the sons of your prophet. God, bless Ruqayyah, the daughter of Your prophet, and curse him who caused Your prophet suffering through her. God bless Umm Kulthum, the daughter of Your Prophet, and curse those who have harmed Your Prophet through her. May God bless the descendants of Your prophet!” Muhammad Baqir Al-Majlisi writes: “Good (Hasan).” [Tahdhib-ul-Ahkam of At-Tusi, volume 3 page 120 Hadith 38; Mir’at-ul-Uqul of Al-Majlisi, volume 16 page 219].

محمد بن يعقوب عن علي بن إبراهيم عن أبيه عن ابن محبوب عن علي بن رئاب عن عبد صالح عليه الصلاة والسلام قال: اللهم صل على محمد وآل محمد أطيب وأطهر وأزكى وأنمى وأفضل ما صليت على أحد من الأولين والآخرين وعلى أحد من خلقك يا أرحم الراحمين، اللهم صل على علي أمير المؤمنين ووال من والاه وعاد من عاداه وضاعف العذاب على من شرك في دمه، اللهم صل على فاطمة بنت نبيك محمد عليه وآله السلام والعن من آذى نبيك فيها، اللهم صل على الحسن والحسين امامي المسلمين ووال من والاهما وعاد من عاداهما وضاعف العذاب على من شرك في دمهما اللهم صل على علي بن الحسين امام المسلمين ووال من والاه وعاد من عاداه وضاعف العذاب على من ظلمه ثم أذكر واحدا واحدا من الأئمة إلى آخر هم عليهم السلام ثم تقول: اللهم صل على الخلف الحجة من بعده امام المسلمين ووال من والاه وعاد من عاداه وعجل فرجه اللهم صل على القاسم والطاهر ابني نبيك، اللهم صل على رقية بنت نبيك والعن من آذى نبيك فيها، اللهم صل على أم كلثوم بنت نبيك والعن من آذى نبيك فيها، اللهم صل على ذرية نبيك. وقال الشيخ المجلسي رضي الله عنه في إسناده: حسن

Muhammad Baqir Al-Majlisi writes: “Khadijah (a.) bore from the Prophet (s.) Zainab, Ruqayyah, Umm Kulthum, Fatimah, Qasim, for which he received his nickname (Abu l-Qasim) and At-Tahir and At-Tayyib and those male descendants died in the time of ignorance and the girls experienced the time of Islam and surrendered to it and emigrated with it. It is said, that At-Tayyib (the Good) and At-Tahir (the Pure) are two names for Abdullah and he was born in the time of Islam.” [Bihar-ul-Anwar, Volume 22 page 166]

قال شيخ الإسلام محمد باقر المجلسي رحمه الله: ولدت خديجة له صلى الله عليه وآله زينب ورقية وأم كلثوم وفاطمة والقاسم، وبه كان يكنى، والطاهر والطيب، وهلك هؤلاء الذكور في الجاهلية، وأدركت الإناث الاسلام فأسلمن وهاجرن معه، وقيل: الطيب والطاهر لقبان لعبد الله، وولد في الاسلام

Muhammad Al-Mufid writes: “Zainab and Ruqayyah were both the daughters of the Messenger of God (s.) and the one who disagrees is strange because of his dismissive attitude.” [Al-Masa’il-ul-Ukbariyyah, page 120]

قال محمد المفيد: أن زينب ورقية كانتا ابنتي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله والمخالف لذلك شاذ بخلافه
