Mufaddal Ibn Umar reported that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said: “God does not appreciate His servant with a glance nor does He declare him pure if he leaves off a duty from among the duties (Fard) imposed by God or commits one of the major sins.” I said: “God does not appreciate him with a glance?” He said: “Yes, he has associated someone with God (Shirk).” I said: “He has associated someone with God (Shirk)?” He said: “Yes, because God gave him a command and the devil gave him a command, whereupon he neglected what God had commanded him to do and he followed what the devil had commanded him to do. Therefore, that one is with the devil in the seventh level of the fire.” [Al-Wasa’il of Al-Amili, Volume 1, Page 37, Hadith 17]

محمد بن علي بن الحسين بن بابويه رضي الله عنه في كتاب عقاب الأعمال عن علي بن أحمد، عن محمد بن جعفر الأسدي، عن موسى بن عمران النخعي، عن الحسين بن يزيد القمي عن محمد بن سنان، عن المفضل بن عمر، عن أبي عبد الله عليه السلام في حديث قال: لا ينظر الله إلى عبده، ولا يزكيه إذا ترك فريضة من فرائض الله، أو ارتكب كبيرة من الكبائر، قال: قلت: لا ينظر الله إليه؟! قال: نعم، قد أشرك بالله، قلت: أشرك بالله؟! قال: نعم، إن الله أمره بأمر وأمره إبليس بأمر، فترك ما أمر الله عز وجل وبه، وصار إلى ما أمر به إبليس، فهذا مع إبليس في الدرك السابع من النار
