Ahmad Ibn Muhammad Ibn Isa, from Hasan Ibn Ali Al-Washsha’, from Abu Sakhr Ahmad Ibn Abdi r-Rahim, from Hasan Ibn Ali, from someone who was among the tax collectors of Maʾmūn. He said:I and someone from our companions came in to Abu Tahir Isa Ibn Abdillah Al-Alawi. Abu Sakhr said: and I mean it, that he is from the descendants of Umar ibn Ali and he was a resident of Dar-us-Saidiyyin. So we came in to him in the afternoon while there was a pot of water in front of him and he was rubbing himself. We offered him peace and he returned it to us. Then he began to address us and said: Is anyone with you? We said: No. Then he looked to the right and left to see if he saw anyone. Then he said: “My father told me about my grandfather that he was in Mina with Abu Ja’far Muhammad ibn Ali (a.) while he and Abu Ja’far (a.) were throwing stones. So he finished them (the throws) and there was a leftover in his hands. Then he counted five stones, after which he threw two in one direction and three in (another) direction. Then I said to him: “Teach me, may my life be sacrificed to you, what this is, because I saw you doing something that no one ever did. You threw five. Then three in one direction and two in one (other) direction.” He said: “Yes. At every time (for the pilgrimage), one brings out the two wrongdoers (Abu Bakr & Umar) fresh, whereupon they are crucified here. No one sees them except a righteous Imam (a.). So they throw two at the first and three at the other, because the other is worse than the first.” [Al-Ikhtisas of Al-Mufid, page 277.]

‎أحمد بن محمد بن عيسى، عن الحسن بن علي الوشاء، عن أبي الصخر أحمد بن عبد الرحيم، عن الحسن بن علي رجل كان في جباية مأمون قال: دخلت أنا ورجل من أصحابنا على أبي طاهر عيسى بن عبد الله العلوي، قال أبو الصخر: وأظنه من ولد عمر بن علي وكان نازلا في دار الصيديين فدخلنا عليه عند العصر وبين يديه ركوة من ماء وهو يتمسح، فسلمنا عليه فرد علينا السلام، ثم ابتدأنا فقال: معكما أحد؟ فقلنا: لا، ثم التفت يمينا وشمالا هل يرى أحدا ثم قال: أخبرني أبى عن جدي أنه كان مع أبي جعفر محمد بن علي عليهما السلام بمنى وهو يرمي الجمرات وأن أبا جعفر رمى الجمرات فاستتمها وبقي في يديه بقية، فعد خمس حصيات فرمى ثنتين في ناحية وثلاثة في ناحية، فقلت له: أخبرني جعلت فداك ما هذا فقد رأيتك صنعت شيئا ” ما صنعه أحد قط، إنك رميت بخمس بعد ذلك ثلاثة في ناحية وثنتين في ناحية؟ قال: نعم إنه إذا كان كل موسم أخرجا الفاسقان غضيين طريين فصلبا ههنا لا يراهما إلا إمام عدل، فرميت الأول ثنتين والآخر بثلاث لأن الآخر أخبث من الأول.
