Zurarah reported that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said:,,The Messenger of God (s.) liked honey and one of his wives brought it to him. But then one of them said to him: “Sometimes I sense a smell on you.” Upon this he abstained from it.” Muhammad Baqir Al-Majlisi writes: “This event has already been mentioned at length in the chapters on the circumstances of our Prophet (s.) and we have mentioned it in various ways. This includes what was narrated from A’ishah, namely that she said: ” The Messenger of God (s.) stayed with Zainab Bint Jahsh and drank honey. So I and Hafsah agreed that whichever of us comes in to the Messenger of God (s.), she should say to him: “I sense the smell of resinous gum on you.” Then one of us came in to the Messenger of Allah (s.a.) and she said this to him. But he said: ” No, but I drank honey at Zainab.” So he refused the honey or Zainab. Thereupon the chapter At-Tahrim was brought down. Thus he returned back to the two and did not leave them.” [Bihar-ul-Anwar, vol. 63, page 292, Hadith 11]

ومنه: عن أبيه عن ابن أبي عمير عن هشام بن سالم وحماد عن زرارة عن أبي عبد الله عليه السلام قال: كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله يعجبه العسل وكان بعض نسائه يأتيه به، فقالت له إحداهن: إني ربما وجدت منك الرائحة فتركه قال الشيخ محمد باقر المجلسي: قد مرت هذه القصة مفصلة في أبواب أحوال نبينا صلى الله عليه وآله وقد أوردناها بوجوه مختلفة منها ما روي عن عائشة أنها قالت: إن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله كان يمكث عند زينب بنت جحش ويشرب عندها عسلا فتواطأت أنا وحفصة أيتنا دخل عليها النبي صلى الله عليه وآله فلتقل: إني أجد منك ريح المغافير، فدخل صلى الله عليه وآله على إحداهما فقالت له ذلك فقال: لا بل شربت عسلا عند زينب فحرم العسل على نفسه أو زينب، فنزلت سورة التحريم فعاد إليهما ولم يتركهما

Muhammad ibn Umarah reported that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said: “Three used to lie about the Messenger of God (s.): Abu Hurairah, Anas ibn Malik and a woman.” Muhammad Baqir Al-Majlisi wrote: “The saying is about A’ishah.” [Bihar-ul-Anwar, Vol. 2, page 217, Hadith 11]

الخصال: الطالقاني، عن الجلودي، عن محمد بن زكريا، عن جعفر بن محمد بن عمارة قال: سمعت جعفر بن محمد عليهما السلام يقول: ثلاثة كانوا يكذبون على رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله أبو هريرة وأنس بن مالك وامرأة قال الشيخ محمد باقر المجلسي: يعني عائشة

Jundub ibn Abdillah reported that Imam Ali (a.) said: “Before the veil was imposed, I came in to the Messenger of God (s.) while he was in the abode of A’ishah. So I sat down between him and her. Then she said: ,,O son of Abu Talib, you found no other place for your buttocks than my thigh. Lift yourself up from me henceforth.” So the Messenger of Allah (s) struck her between her shoulder blades. Then he said to her: “Woe to you, what do you want from the Commander of the Faithful and Master of the Muslims and Chief of the Unsurpassed Radiant Ones?” [Al-Amali of At-Tusi, page 602 – 603, Hadith 3]

وعنه، قال. أخبرنا جماعة، عن أبي المفضل، قال: حدثنا محمد بن جعفر بن الحسن الرزاز أبو العباس، قال: حدثنا أبو أمي محمد بن عيسى أبو جعفر القيسي، قال: حدثنا إسحاق بن يزيد الطائي، عن عبد الغفار بن القاسم، عن عبد الله بن شريك العامري، عن جندب بن عبد الله البجلي، عن علي بن أبي طالب عليه السلام قال: دخلت على رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله قبل أن يضرب الحجاب وهو في منزل عائشة، فجلست بينه وبينها فقالت: يا بن أبي طالب، ما وجدت لاستك مكانا غير فخذي أمط عني، فضرب رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله بين كتفيها، ثم قال لها: ويل لك ما تريدين من أمير المؤمنين، وسيد المسلمين، وقائد الغر المحجلين

Muhammad Ar-Radawi writes: “It was not the Shi’ah who called A’ishah shameless, but they transmit from Muslim Ibn Hajjaj in his Sahih (vol. 2, p. 239) that the Prophet (s.) said to A’ishah: “O A’ishah, do not be shameless.” [Kadhabu Ala sh-Shi’ah, p. 342]

قال السيد محمد الرضوي: الشيعة لم يسموا عائشة فاحشة لكنهم يروون عن مسلم بن الحجاج في صحيحه ج ٢ ص ٢٣٩ ط مصر عام ١٣٢٧ أن النبي صلى الله عليه وآله قال لعائشة: يا عائشة لا تكوني فاحشة

Aban ibn Abi Ayyash reported that Sulaim ibn Qais said: “I heard Salman, Abu Dharr and Miqdad and asked Ali ibn Abi Talib (a.) about it, whereupon he said: “They spoke the truth.” They said: Ali Ibn Abi Talib (a.) came in to the Messenger of God (s.) while A’ishah was sitting behind him wearing a cloak and the house was full of his people. Among them were five scribes and five advisors. That is why he could not find a place. So the Messenger of God (s.) pointed to him: “Behold, here.” So behind him. So Ali (a.) came over and sat down between the Messenger of God (s.) and A’ishah and he squatted down like a Bedouin squats down. Then A’ishah pushed him and was angry and said: “Did you find no other place for your buttocks than my lap?” Thereupon the Messenger of God (s.) was angry and said: “Gently, O Humaira’. Do not harm me through my brother Ali, for he is the Commander of the Faithful and Lord of the Muslims and Bearer of the Banner of Praise and on the Day of Resurrection the Chief of the Unsurpassed Radiant. God sets him up by the Path, so that he may divide with the fire. Then He makes his near ones enter Paradise and his enemies enter the Fire.” [Kitab Sulaim of Al-Hilali, page 287]

أبان بن أبي عياش عن سليم بن قيس الهلالي قال: سمعت سلمان وأبا ذر والمقداد، وسألت علي بن أبي طالب عليه السلام عن ذلك فقال: صدقوا. قالوا: دخل علي بن أبي طالب عليه السلام على رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وعائشة قاعدة خلفه وعليها كساء والبيت غاص بأهله فيهم الخمسة أصحاب الكتاب والخمسة أصحاب الشورى. فلم يجد مكانا فأشار إليه رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله: هاهنا يعني خلفه فجاء علي عليه السلام فقعد بين رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وبين عائشة، وأقعى كما يقعي الأعرابي. فدفعته عائشة وغضبت وقالت: أما وجدت لأستك موضعا غير حجري فغضب رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وقال: مه يا حميراء، لا تؤذيني في أخي علي، فإنه أمير المؤمنين وسيد المسلمين وصاحب لواء الحمد، وقائد الغر المحجلين يوم القيامة. يجعله الله على الصراط فيقاسم النار، فيدخل أوليائه الجنة ويدخل أعدائه النار

Umar Ibn Aban reported that Imam Ali (a.) said: “One day I came in to the Messenger of God (s.) before the veil was imposed on his wives and A’ishah was near him. When he saw me, he welcomed me and said: “Come near me, O Ali.” And he let me come nearer till he made me sit down between him and her. But she was displeased. Then she approached me and expressed her evil opinion of women and her rash speech: “You found no other place for your buttocks, O Ali, than my thigh.” Then the Messenger of God (s) rebuked her and said to her: “You say such a thing to Ali? By God, he is the first to believe in me and to have faith in me and the first creature to reach me at the basin and he possesses the greatest right among men in the entrustment of me. No one hates him except God let him go into the fire on his nose.” Hereupon she increased in grudge against me because of this.” [Al-Jamal of Al-Mufid, page 219 – 220]

عن عمر بن أبان عن علي بن أبي طالب عليه السلام قال: ولقد دخلت على رسول الله ذات يوم قبل أن يضرب الحجاب على أزواجه وكانت عائشة بقرب رسول الله فلما رآني رحب وقال ادن مني يا علي ولم يزل يدنيني حتى أجلسني بينه وبينها فغلظ ذلك عليها فأقبلت إلي وقالت بسوء رأي النساء وتسرعهن إلى الخطاب ما وجدت لاستك يا علي موضعا غير موضع فخذي فزبرها النبي صلى الله عليه وآله وقال لها ألعلي تقولين هذا إنه والله أول من آمن بي وصدقني وأول الخلق وردا علي الحوض وهو أحق الناس عهدا إلي لا يبغضه أحد إلا أكبه الله على منخره في النار فازدادت بذلك غيضا علي

Sa’id ibn Musayyab reported that Wahb said: “When Fatimah (a.) was brought to be married to Ali (a.), the wives of the helpers said: “Her father is the master of the people.” Then the Messenger of God (s.) said: “Say: And her husband has power and strength.” But they did not mention Ali (a.). Hereupon he expressed his opinion about it. Thus they said: “A’ishah prevented us from doing so.” Then he said: “A’ishah will not put down enmity with us, the people of the House.” [As-Sirat-ul-Mustaqim of Al-Amili, Vol. 3, page 166 – 167]

روى سعيد بن المسيب عن وهب: أن فاطمة لما زفت إلى علي عليه السلام قالت نسوة الأنصار: أبوها سيد الناس فقال النبي صلى الله عليه وآله: قلن وبعلها ذو الشدة والبأس، فلم يذكرن عليا فقال في ذلك فقلن: منعتنا فقلن: منعتنا عائشة فقال ما تدع عائشة عداوتنا أهل البيت

Is’haq Ibn Abdillah reported that Imam Ali (a.) said: “I came to the Prophet (s.) while Abu Bakr and Umar were with him. So I sat down between him and A’ishah. Then A’ishah said: ,,You found nothing but my thigh or the thigh of the Messenger of God (s.).” So he said: “Gently, O A’ishah. Do not harm me through Ali, for he is my brother in this world and my brother in the Hereafter and he is the Commander of the believers. God makes him sit by the path on the Day of Resurrection. Then He makes his near ones enter Paradise and his enemies enter the Fire.” [Bisharat-ul-Mustafa of At-Tabarani, page 225 – 226, Hadith 52]

أخبرنا الشيخ أبو علي الحسن بن محمد بن الحسن الطوسي بمشهد مولانا أمير المؤمنين علي بن أبي طالب عليه السلام بقراءتي عليه في شهر رمضان سنة إحدى عشرة وخمسمائة، عن أبيه أبي جعفر الطوسي رضي الله عنه قال: أخبرنا أبو محمد الحسن بن محمد بن يحيى الفحام، قال: حدثني عمي عمر بن يحيى، قال: حدثني إسحاق بن عبدوس، قال: حدثنا محمد بن بهار بن عمار، قال: حدثنا زكريا بن يحيى، عن جابر بن إسحاق بن عبد الله بن الحارث، عن أبيه، عن أمير المؤمنين علي بن أبي طالب عليه السلام قال: أتيت النبي صلى الله عليه وآله وعنده أبو بكر وعمر، فجلست بينه وبين عائشة فقالت عائشة: ما وجدت إلا فخذي أو فخذ رسول الله  فقال: مه يا عائشة لا تؤذيني في علي فإنه أخي في الدنيا وأخي في الآخرة وهو أمير المؤمنين، يجلسه الله يوم القيامة على الصراط، فيدخل أولياءه الجنة وأعداءه النار
