From Jabir ibn Abdillah who said: “The Commander of the Believers (a.) had a Jewish companion.” Jabir said: “And He liked him very much. When he had a concern, he (a.) helped him with it. Then the Jew passed away. Then he mourned for him and grief overtook him.” Jabir said: “Then the Prophet (s) turned to him while he was laughing. Then he said to him: “O Abu l-Hasan, what has happened to your Jewish companion?” Thereupon Ali said: “He passed away.” He said: “Did sorrow overtake you and did your grief over him overtake you?” Ali said: “Yes, O Messenger of God (s.).” He said: “Do you wish to see him happy?” Thereupon Ali said: “Yes, may my father and mother be sacrificed to you.” He said: “Raise your head.” (Jabir said) Then the fourth heaven was revealed to him. So behold, he was suddenly in a dome of green peridot hanging from a jar. Then he said to him: “O Abu l-Hasan, this is for those of the people of the Surety, of the Jews, the Nazarenes and the Zoroastrians, who loves you and your believing followers will be with me and you in Paradise tomorrow.” [Khātimat-ul-Mustadrak of An-Nūrī, Vol. 5, page 19]

عن جابر بن عبد الله، قال: كان لأمير المؤمنين عليه السلام صاحب يهودي، قال: وكان كثيرا ما يألفه، وان كانت له حاجة أسعفه فيها، فمات اليهودي فحزن عليه واستبدت وحشة له، قال: فالتفت إليه النبي صلى الله عليه وآله وهو ضاحك، فقال له: يا با الحسن، ما فعل صاحبك اليهودي؟ قال: قلت: مات، قال: اغتممت به واستبدت وحشتك عليه؟ قال: نعم يا رسول الله، قال: فتحب ان تراه محبورا؟ قال: قلت: نعم، بابي أنت وأمي، قال: ارفع رأسك، وكشط له عن السماء الرابعة فإذا هو بقبة من زبرجد خضراء معلقة بالقدرة. فقال له: يا با الحسن، هذا لمن يحبك من أهل الذمة من اليهود والنصارى والمجوس، وشيعتك المؤمنون معي ومعك غدا في الجنة
