In the Mushaf (Codex) of Uthman we read the following:

صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ

The way of those on whom You have bestowed mercy, not (the way) of those who have provoked (Your) wrath, and not [wa lā] (the way) of those who go astray.”

From a man, from Abu ‘Umayr [chain to Imam] concerning the words of Allah {… not of those who have aroused (Your) wrath and not of those [wa ġhayr] who go astray.”} [1:7]. And so it [the verse] was revealed, he [peace be upon him] said: “Those who have aroused your anger” are this one and that one, this one and that one, this one and that one [fulan] and the Nawāṣib. And ,,those who are astray” are the doubters who do not recognise the Imam.” [Tafsir al-Ayyashi, Vol. 1, pp. 38-39, Hadith 28]

Narrated by ʿAbdullah, from ʿAbdullah ibn Muḥammad al-Zuhrī, from Sufyān, from Muḥammad ibn ʿAmr, from Yaḥya ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, from his father, he said: “I heard ʿUmar recite: {Ṣirāṭa man anʿamta ʿalayhim ġhayri l-maġhḍhūbi ʿalayhim wa ġhayri l-ḍhāllīn).” [Kitab al-Masahif, vol. 1, p. 285, hadith 143-149]
