Hasan Al-Askari (a.) reported that a woman asked the Prophet (s.):“How is it that two women are equal to one man in testimony and inheritance?” Then he said: “Because you have deficiencies in religion and intellect.” She said: “O Messenger of God, what is our deficiency in religion?” He said: “One of you stays half of her life while not praying and your curses are increased and you are dismissive of the society. One of you stays with a man for ten years. Moreover, he does good to her and grants favors upon her. If one day his favor is short or he quarrels with her, then she says to him: ﴾Never did I see good from you.﴿ And whoever of the women does not have such a nature, for her is that, what it shows of these two deficiencies, a trial, so that she may endure it. Thus God will increase her reward. Now be of good cheer.” Then the Messenger of God (s.) said: “There is no bad man, except that a bad woman is worse than him and there is no good woman except that a man is better than her and God never made a woman equal to a man except that which took place from the equality of God between Fatimah and Ali and her union, while she is a woman, with him. To the best of the people of the worlds.” [Bihar-ul-Anwar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 100, page 259 – 260, Hadith 11]

الحسن بن علي العسكري عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله أنه سألته امرأة: ما بال المرأتين برجل في الشهادة والميراث فقال: لأنكن ناقصات الدين والعقل، قالت: يا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله و ما نقصان ديننا قال: إن إحداكن تقعد نصف دهرها لا تصلي وإنكن تكثرن اللعن وتكفرن العِشْرة تمكث إحداكن عند الرجل عشر سنين فصاعدا يحسن إليها وينعم عليها إذا ضاقت يده يوما أو خاصمها قالت له: ما رأيت منك خيرا قط ومن لم تكن من النساء هذا خلقها فالذي يصيبها من هذان النقصان محنة عليها لتصبر فيعظم الله ثوابها فأبشري ثم قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله: ما من رجل ردي إلا والمرأة الردية أردى منه ولا من امرأة صالحة إلا والرجل أفضل منها وما ساوى الله قط امرأة برجل إلا ما كان من تسوية الله فاطمة بعلي عليهما السلام والحاقها به وهي امرأة بأفضل رجال العالمين
