Question:

What should be done, when Ali (a.) takes a valley other than the people?

Khalid ibn Zaid reported that Prophet Muhammad (s.) said to Ammar: ,,A rebellious group will murder you while you are with the truth and the truth is with you. O Ammar, if you see Ali taking a valley while the people are taking another valley, then take the valley with Ali and desist from the people, for he will never let you fall into an abyss and he will never lead you away from the guidance! O Ammar, whoever hangs a sword to support Ali with it against his enemy, God hangs a shawl of pearls on him on the Day of Resurrection, but whoever hangs a sword to support the enemy of Ali with it, God hangs a shawl of fire on him on the Day of Resurrection.” [Bihar-ul-Anwar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 38 Page 32]

عن خالد بن زيد عن الرسول صلى الله عليه وآله قال لعمار رضي الله عنه: تقتلك الفئة الباغية وأنت مع الحق والحق معك يا عمار إذا رأيت عليا سلك واديا وسلك الناس واديا غيره فاسلك مع علي ودع الناس، إنه لن يدليك في ردى ولن يخرجك من الهدى يا عمار إنه من تقلد سيفا أعان به عليا عدوه قلده الله تعالى يوم القيامة وشاحا من در ومن تقلد سيفا أعان به عدو علي قلده الله تعالى يوم القيامة وشاحا من نار

Ammar ibn Yasir reported that Prophet Muhammad (s) said: ,,O Ammar, there will be a temptation after me. So when this occurs, follow Ali and accompany him, for he is with the truth and the truth is with him. O Ammar, you will fight two groups after me: the oathbreakers and deviants. After that, a rebellious group will murder you.” Ammar said: ,,O Messenger of God, is this not done for the good pleasure of God and your good pleasure?” He said: ,,Yes, for the good pleasure of God and my good pleasure and the last thing you take in this world is a sip of milk that you drink.” [Al-Burhan of Al-Bahrani, Vol. 8 Page 80]

عن محمد بن علي عن محمد بن عبد الله عن محمد بن الحسن عن عباد بن يعقوب عن علي بن هاشم عن محمد بن عبد الله عن أبي عبيدة بن محمد عن محمد بن عمار عن عمار بن ياسر رضي الله عنه عن الرسول صلى الله عليه وآله قال: يا عمار ستكون بعدي فتنة فإذا كان ذلك فاتبع عليا واصحبه فإنه مع الحق والحق معه يا عمار إنك ستقاتل بعدي مع علي صنفين الناكثين والقاسطين ثم تقتلك الفئة الباغية قال: يا رسول الله أليس ذلك رضا لله ورضاك؟ قال: نعم على رضا الله ورضاي ويكون آخر زادك من الدنيا شربة من لبن تشربه
