Ja’far As-Sadiq (a.) reported, that Prophet Muhammad (s.) said: ,,The tattooing and the tattooed (women) and the price gougers and the condoners of the price gouging (overcharging) are cursed by the tongue of Muhammad.” [Al-Kafi of Al-Kulaini, volume 5, page 337, hadith 13]

عدة من أصحابنا, عن أحمد بن أبي عبدالله, عن أبيه, عن محمد بن سنان, عن عبدالله ابن سنان, عن أبي عبد الله عليه السلام قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله: الواشمة والموتشمة والناجش والمنجوش ملعونون على لسان محمد

Muhammad Baqir Al-Majlisi writes: ,,In An-Nihayah it is said: ﴾God curse the tattooing and tattooed (women).﴿ It is also reported: ﴾The tattooed.﴿ Tattooing means piercing the skin with a needle. Afterwards the collyrium or indigo is applied.” [Mir’at-ul-Uqul, volume 20, page 411]

قال محمد باقر المجلسي: قال في النهاية لعن الله الواشمة والمستوشمة ويروى الموتشمة الوشم أن يغرز الجلد بإبرة ثم يحشى بكحل أو نيل

Husain Ibn Muhammad reported, that Imam Ar-Rida (a.) said: ,,The Messenger of God (s.) cursed seven people.” Until he said: ,,And the man tattooing with his hand.” Muhammad ibn Ali reported that Prophet Muhammad (s.) said: ,,God curse those who lengthen or have lengthened (the hair) of others and the tattooing and tattooed (women).” [Al-Mustadrak of An-Nuri, Volume 14, Page 293]

عن حسين بن محمد عن علي بن موسى الرضا عليهما السلام عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم أنه لعن سبعة إلى أن قال والموشم بيده وروى عن محمد بن على بن ابراهيم عن النبي صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم أنه قال: لعن الله الواصلة والمستوصلة والواشمة والمستوشمة

Ja’far As-Sadiq (a.) reported that Imam Ali (a.) said: ,,The Messenger of God (s.) cursed those, who pluck (the hair) and have it plucked and those, who sharpen (the teeth) and have it split and who have that done to them and those, who lengthen (the hair) and have it lengthened and the tattooing and tattooed (women).” [Al-Hada’iq-un-Nadirah of Al-Bahrani, Vol. 18, page 196]

عن يوسف بن أحمد عن محمد بن علي بن بابويه عن علي بن غراب عن جعفر بن محمد عن آبائه عليه السلام قال: لعن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم النامصة والمنتمصة، والواشرة والموتشرة، والواصلة والمستوصلة، والواشمة والمستوشمة

Abd-ur-Rahman reported, that Qatadah said: ,,When the devil descended, Adam (a.) said: ﴾O Lord, You cursed him, what is his knowledge?﴿ God said: ﴾The sorcery.﴿ Adam (a.) said: ﴾What is his reading?﴿ God said: ﴾The poetry.﴿ Adam (a.) said: ﴾What is his writing?﴿ God said: ﴾The tattoo.﴿ Adam (a. ) said: ﴾What is his food?﴿ God said: ﴾Every carcass and that about which the name of God was not mentioned.﴿ Adam (a.) said: ﴾What is his drink?﴿ God said: ﴾Every thing leading to drunkenness.﴿ Adam (a.) said: ﴾Where is his settlement?﴿ God said: ﴾The bathhouse.﴿ Adam (a. ) said: ﴾Where is his seat?﴿ God said: ﴾The markets.﴿ Adam (a.) said: ﴾What is his voice? ﴿ God said: ﴾The kegeloboe.﴿ Adam (a.) said: ﴾What are his traps?﴿ God said: ﴾The women.﴿” Abdullah Ibn Abbas reported, that Prophet Muhammad (s.) said: ,,The devil said to God: ﴾Lord, Adam has already descended to earth and You know that there are writings and messengers. So what are His writings and messengers?﴿ God said: ﴾His messengers are the angels and the prophets and His writings are the Torah, the Gospel, the Psalms and the Qur’an.﴿ The devil said: ﴾But what is my writing?﴿ God said: ﴾Your writing is the tattoo, your reading is the poetry and your messengers are the soothsayers and your food is that, about which the name of God has not been mentioned and your drink is that which leads to drunkenness and your truth is the lie and your house is the bathhouse and your traps are the women and your caller to prayer is the kegeloboe (instrument) and your mosque is the markets.﴿” [Bihar-ul-Anwar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 63, Page 281]

عن عبد الرحمن عن قتادة قال: لما هبط إبليس قال آدم: أي رب قد لعنته فما علمه؟ قال: السحر قال: فما قراءته؟ قال: الشعر، قال: فما كتابته؟ قال: الوشم، قال: فما طعامه؟ قال: كل ميتة وما لم يذكر اسم الله عليه، قال: فما شرابه؟ قال: كل مسكر، قال: فأين مسكنه؟ قال: الحمام، قال: فأين مجلسه؟ قال: الأسواق، قال: فما صوته؟ قال: المزمار قال: فما مصائده؟ قال النساء عن عبد الله بن عباس عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله قال: قال إبليس لربه تعالى: يا رب قد اهبط آدم وقد علمت أنه سيكون كتب ورسل، فما كتبهم ورسلهم؟ قال: رسلهم الملائكة والنبيون، وكتبهم التوراة والإنجيل والزبور والفرقان، قال: فما كتابي؟ قال: كتابك الوشم، وقراءتك الشعر، ورسلك الكهنة، وطعامك ما لم يذكر اسم الله عليه وشرابك كل مسكر، وصدقك الكذب، وبيتك الحمام، ومصائدك النساء، ومؤذنك المزمار، ومسجدك الأسواق
