Abu Al-Fadl At-Tahrani writes: ,,Among those, what we have recorded, the disbelief of those four (Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman and Mu’awiyah) and the permission, to curse them, is revealed and their injustice is as clear as the sun in the middle of the day. From this aspect, Imam As-Sadiq (a.) kept to himself, to curse those four after every obligatory (prayer) and to this the followers were encouraged to do so as narrated by Al-Kulaini and the scholar (At-Tusi). Both of them trace a chain of tradition back to Al-Husain Ibn At-Thawr and Abu Salamah As-Sarraj, who said: ,,We heard that Abu Abdillah (As-Sadiq) used to curse four men and four women after each prescribed (prayer), mentioning their names.” The verses, that make their cursing clear and allow it are numerous and it is among the necessities of the legal school of the followers (of the Imams) and among the critiques that their enemy accuses them of. None denies this from those, who belong to this school of law, except for a misleading and misguiding ignoramus who has come into prominence in Kashmir in our day and composed a religious rulebook to forbid the insulting of the two old men (Abu Bakr and Umar).” [Shifa’-us-Sudur, Volume 2 page 390 – 391]

قال الشيخ أبو الفضل الطهراني رحمه الله: ومما كتبناه يظهر كفر هؤلاء الأربعة (أبي بكر وعمر وعثمان ومعاوية) وجواز لعنهم وظلمهم كالشمس في رابعة النهار بينة واضحة من هذه الجهة كان الإمام الصادق عليه السلام ملزما نفسه بعد كل (صلاة) فريضة لعن هؤلاء الأربعة وصار ذلك ملزما للشيعة على نحو التأسي كما روى الكليني والشيخ (الطوسي) وأوصلا السند إلى الحسين بن الثور وأبي سلمة السراج قالا: سمعنا أبا عبد الله (الصادق) يلعن في دبر كل (صلاة) مكتوبة أربعة من الرجال وأربعا من النساء ويذكر أسمائهم والآيات المأولة بلعنهم والمصرحة به كثيرة وهو من ضروريات مذهب الشيعة (الإمامية) ومن المطاعن الموجهة إليهم من عدوهم ولم ينكر ذلك أحد ممن انتمى إلى هذا المذهب ذلك سوى واحد جاهل ضال مضل في أيامنا ظهر في كشمير وكتب رسالة في منع سب الشيخين (أبي بكر وعمر)ـ
