Jalal-ud-Din Ar-Rumi writes:

لقد استقلت جارية تـحت حـمار من فرط الشهوة ومرض الشذوذ والـحرص على الـجماع كانت قد دربت ذلك الـحمار الفحل على مـجامعتها وكان الـحمار قد فهم جـماع الآدمي وكانت هناك قرعة وضعتها تلك الـمحتالة في ذكر الـحمار من أجل الـحد ولقد وضعت القرعة فـي الذكر تكل الداهية حتـى يولـج نصف الذكر عند الإيلاج ذلك أن ذكر الـحمار إن أولـج فـيها بأجمعه لـمزق رحـمها وأمعاءها كان الـحمار يزداد نـحولا وعجزت السيدة عن فهم لـم صار هذا الـحمار فـي نـحول الشعرة وقد عرضته على الـبياطرة قائلة ما بال هذا الـحمار وما هي علته تلك التـي أدت إلـى نـحوله هكذا؟ لكن علة لـم تظهر فـيه قط ولـم يعرف أحد قط سر ذلك فبدأت فـي تفحص الأمر بـجد شديد صارت لـحظة بلـحظة مستعدة للتفتيش والبـحث وينبغي أن تكون الروح أمة للجد ذلك أن الباحث بـجد يـجد في النهاية وعندما تفحصت وتـجسست عن أحوال الـحمار رأت تلك الـجارية نائمة تـحت الـحمار ولقد رأت من فرجة الباب هذا الـحال فتعجبت تلك العجوز كثيرا من ذلك الأمر ولقد كان الـحمار يضاجع الـجارية كما يفعل الرجال مع النساء بتعقل ونظام فأحست نـحوها بالـحسد وقالت لنفسها ما دام هذا الأمر مـمكنا فأنا أولـى فالـحمار ملكي

,,A maid laid down under a donkey out of strong lust, an extraordinary affliction and desire for sexual intercourse and made the lustful donkey, to copulate with her and the donkey understood something about the copulation with human beings.This deceitful woman put a pumpkin on the genital of the donkey, to confine it and this wise one put the pumpkin on the genital, so that only half of the genital would be inserted during the penetration and this was done, because the genital of the donkey would tear her womb and intestines, if it would penetrate her completely. The donkey became more and more lanky and the mistress could not understand, why the donkey got more and more lanky skin. She showed him to the farriers and asked: ,,What is wrong with this donkey? What brought him to his slenderness?” But never did the reason come to light and never did anyone know, what the secret behind it was. Thereupon she began with it, to pursue the matter with a decided seriousness and she held herself ready for the investigation at any time and the spirit should serve the seriousness, because he who searches with seriousness, he will also find good end. So when she investigated and found out the circumstances of the donkey, she saw that the maid used to sleep under the donkey. She looked at the matter through the crack of the door, whereupon the aged lady was very astonished at the matter. The donkey used to copulate with the maid gently and neatly, as men do with women, whereupon she became envious of the maid and said to herself: ,,As long as this matter is feasible, it is rather mine, for the donkey is mine!” [Al-Mathnawi, volume 5, page 167 – 168]
