,,Who is more unjust than the one, who conceives a lie about God or denied His signs? The unjust do not attain success.” [Al-An’am 6:21]

ومن أظلم ممن افترى على الله كذبا أو كذب بآياته إنه لا يفلح الظالمون

Hashim Sahib Al-Barid reported, that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said: ,,It is bad for you, that you say something, which you have not heard from us.” [Al-Kafi of Al-Kulaini, Volume 2 page 402 Hadith 1]

عن عن محمد بن يعقوب عن علي بن إبراهيم عن إبراهيم بن هاشم عن ابن أبي عمير عن عبد الرحمن بن الحجاج عن هاشم صاحب البريد عن أبي عبد الله الصادق عليه السلام قال: أما إنه شر عليكم أن تقولوا بشئ ما لم تسمعوه منا

Imran ibn Atiyyah reported, that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said: ,,Hear our saying and do not lie about us, for whoever lied about us, lied about the Messenger (s.) and whoever lied about the Messenger (s.), lied about God and whoever lied about God, then God punishes him.” [Al-Kafi of Al-Kulaini, Volume 4 page 187]

عن عمران بن عطية عن الإمام الصادق عليه السلام قال: اسمع حديثنا ولا تكذب علينا فإنه من كذب علينا في شئ فقد كذب على رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله ومن كذب على رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله فقد كذب على الله ومن كذب على الله عذبه الله عز وجل

Companions of Ibn Muskan reported, that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said: ,,May God curse Al-Mughirah Ibn Sa’id, he used to lie about my father, may God let him taste the heat of the iron! God curse the one, who said about us, what we do not say about ourselves!” [Al-Ikhtiyar of At-Tusi, Volume 2 page 590]

عن أصحاب بن مسكان عن الإمام الصاق عليه السلام قال: لعن الله المغيرة بن سعيد انه كان يكذب على أبي فأذاقه الله حر الحديد، لعن الله من قال فينا مالا نقوله في أنفسنا

Aban Ibn Uthman reported, that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said: ,,Woe to the one, who lied about us! People say about us, what we do not say about ourselves. We renounce by God from them, we renounce by God from them.” [Bihar-ul-Anwar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 25 page 286 Hadith 40]

رجال الكشي محمد بن قولويه عن سعد عن ابن يزيد ومحمد بن عيسى عن علي بن مهزيار عن فضالة بن أيوب الأزدي عن أبان بن عثمان عن الإمام الصادق عليه السلام قال: الويل لمن كذب علينا وإن قوما يقولون فينا مالا نقوله في أنفسنا نبرأ إلى الله منهم نبرأ إلى الله منهم

Sinan Ibn Sadir reported, that Imam Al-Baqir (a.) said: ,,Abdullah Ibn Saba’ raised the claim, of being a prophet and claimed that the Commander of the Faithful (a.) was God (Allah), Who is exalted above it. Then the news about this reached the Commander of the Faithful (a.) and he called him to him. Abdullah Ibn Saba’ confessed to it and said: ﴾Yes, you are and I have been enlightened with it that you are God (Allah) and I am a prophet.﴿ Thereupon the Imam (a. ) to him: ﴾Woe to you, Satan has taken pleasure in you, turn back from it, may you lose your mother and be perished!﴿ But he refused, so he took him into custody and asked him to repent for three days, but he did not turn back from it. Hereupon he burned him with fire, saying: ﴾Satan deceived him. So he used to come to him and inspire him with it.﴿” [Ikhtiyar Ma’rifat Ar-Rijal of At-Tusi, Volume 1 page 323 Hadith 170]

حدثني محمد بن قولويه القمي، قال: حدثني سعد بن عبد الله بن أبي خلف القمي، قال: حدثني بن عثمان العبدي، عن يونس بن عبد الرحمن، عن عبد الله بن سنان، قال: حدثني أبي، عن أبي جعفر عليه السلام ان عبد الله بن سبأ كان يدعى النبوة ويزعم أن أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام هو الله تعالى عن ذلك فبلغ ذلك أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام فدعاه وسأله؟ فأقر بذلك وقال نعم أنت هو، وقد كان ألقي في روعي أنك أنت الله وأني نبي. فقال له أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام: ويلك قد سخر منك الشيطان فارجع عن هذا ثكلتك أمك وتب، فأبى فحبسهه أيام فلم يتب، فأحرقه بالنار وقال: ان الشيطان استهواه، فكان يأتيه ويلقى في روعه ذلك

Ali Ibn Abi Talib (a.) reported, that Prophet Muhammad (s.) said: ,,Whoever lied about us, the people of the house, God will gather him on the Day of Resurrection as a blind Jew and if he would meet the false Messiah, he would believe in him in his grave.” [Bihar-ul-Anwar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 2 page 160 Hadith 7]

رجال الكشي: وجدت في كتاب جبرئيل بن أحمد بخطه: حدثني محمد بن عيسى، عن محمد بن الفضيل، عن عبد الله بن عبد الرحمن، عن الهيثم بن واقد، عن ميمون بن عبد الله، عن أبي عبد الله، عن آبائه عليهم السلام قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله: من كذب علينا أهل البيت حشره الله يوم القيامة أعمى يهوديا، وإن أدرك الدجال آمن به في قبره

Umar ibn Khalid reported, that Imam Al-Baqir (a.) was asked: ,,My life be sacrificed to you, what is an exaggerator?” He said: ,,People, who say about us, what we do not say about ourselves, therefore these do not belong to us, nor do we belong to them.” [Bihar-ul-Anwar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 25 page 265 Hadith 6]

الكافي عن حميد بن زياد عن الحسن بن محمد بن سماعة عن بعض أصحابه عن أبان عن عمر بن خالد عن الإمام الباقر عليه السلام أنه سئل: جعلت فداك ما الغالي؟ قال: قوم يقولون فينا مالا نقوله في أنفسنا فليس أولئك منا ولسنا منهم
