Abd-ur-Rahman Ibn Samurah reported that Prophet Muhammad (s.) said:,,Those, who disputed about the religion of God, were cursed by the tongue of seventy prophets and whoever disputed about the signs of God (Ayat), they became disbelievers (Kafir). God, praise be to Him, said: ﴾..none disputes about the signs of God except for those, who disbelieved, so do not be deceived by their wandering in the localities…. ﴿ (40:4) Whoever interpreted the Qur’an according to his own opinion, he has lied about God and whoever gave enlightenment (fatwa) to people without knowledge, the angels of the heavens and the earth cursed him and every innovation (bid’ah) is an error and the path of every error leads to the Fire.” [Kamal-ud-Din of As-Saduq, page 244, Hadith 1]

حدثنا محمد بن علي ماجيلويه رضي الله عنه قال: حدثني عمي محمد بن أبي القاسم عن محمد بن علي الصيرفي الكوفي، عن محمد بن سنان، عن المفضل بن عمر، عن جابر ابن يزيد الجعفي، عن سعيد بن المسيب، عن عبد الرحمن بن سمرة قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله: لعن المجادلون في دين الله على لسان سبعين نبيا، ومن جادل في آيات الله فقد كفر، قال الله عزوجل: ما يجادل في آيات الله إلا الذين كفروا فلا يغررك تقلبهم في البلاد. ومن فسر القرآن برأيه فقد افترى على الله الكذب، ومن أفتى الناس بغير علم فلعنته ملائكة السماوات والارض، وكل بدعة ضلالة، وكل ضلالة سبيلها إلى النار

Al-Hijal reported, that Habib Al-Khath’ami said: ,,I mentioned to Abu Abdillah (As-Sadiq) that, which Abu l-Khattab says, whereupon he said: ﴾Name to me something of that, which he says.﴿ I said: ﴾About the verse: ,,When one remembered God alone, the hearts of those, who do not believe in the Hereafter, felt aversion, but when one remembered others in His place, they rejoice.” (39:45) he says: ,,If one remembered God (Allah) alone is the Commander of the believers (a.) and if one remembered others in His place are this one and that one.”﴿ Thereupon he (a.) said three times: ﴾Whoever said that, is an associate (mushrik), from whom I distance from with God. Instead, God meant by it Himself, instead, God meant by it Himself.﴿ I told him about the verse in (the chapter) Ha’-Mim: ﴾It is like this with you, that when one has mentioned God alone, you became disbelievers (kafirs).﴿ (40:12) I said: ﴾He means the Commander of the believers (a.).﴿ Hereupon he (a.) said three times: ﴾Whoever said that, is an associate, from whom I refrain from with God. Instead, God meant by it Himself.﴿” [Al-Basa’ir of As-Saffar, page 580, Hadith 4]

حدثنا احمد بن محمد عن ابى العباس بن معروف عن الحجال عن حبيب الخثعمي قال ذكرت لابي عبد الله عليه السلام ما يقول ابى الخطاب فقال اذكر لى بعض ما يقول قلت في قول الله عزوجل وإذا ذكر الله وحده اشمأزت إلى آخر الاية يقول إذا ذكر الله وحده امير المؤمنين عليه السلام وإذا ذكر الذين من دونه فلان وفلان فقال أبو عبد الله عليه السلام من قال هذا فهو مشرك ثلثا انا إلى الله منهم برئ ثلثا بل عنى الله بذلك نفسه بل عنى الله بذلك نفسه واخبرته بالاية في حم ذلكم بانه إذا دعى الله وحده كفرتم ثم قال قلت يعنى بذلك امير المؤمنين عليه السلام قال أبو عبد الله عليه السلام من قال هذا فهو مشرك انا إلى الله منه برئ ثلثا بل عناه بذلك نفسه

Sinan Ibn Sadir reported, that Imam Al-Baqir (a.) said: ,,Abdullah Ibn Saba’ raised the claim, of being a prophet and claimed that the Commander of the Faithful (a.) was God (Allah), Who is exalted above it. Then the news about this reached the Commander of the Faithful (a.) and he called him to him. Abdullah Ibn Saba’ confessed to it and said: ﴾Yes, you are and I have been enlightened with it that you are God (Allah) and I am a prophet.﴿ Thereupon the Imam (a. ) to him: ﴾Woe to you, Satan has taken pleasure in you, turn back from it, may you lose your mother and be perished!﴿ But he refused, so he took him into custody and asked him to repent for three days, but he did not turn back from it. Hereupon he burned him with fire, saying: ﴾Satan deceived him. So he used to come to him and inspire him with it.﴿” [Al-Musnad of Al-Qubanchi, Volume 8, Page 150, Hadith 1]

الكشي، حدثني محمد بن قولويه القمي، قال: حدثني سعد بن عبدالله ابن أبي خلف القمي، قال: حدثني محمد بن عثمان العبدي، عن يونس بن عبدالرحمن، عن عبدالله بن سنان، قال: حدثني أبي، عن أبي جعفر عليه السلام أن عبدالله ابن سبأ كان يدعي النبوة ويزعم أن أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام هو الله، تعالى عن ذلك علواً كبيراً، فبلغ ذلك أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام فدعاه وسأله فأقر بذلك وقال: نعم أنت هو، وقد كان اُلقي في روعي أنك أنت الله وأني نبي، فقال له أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام: ويلك قد سخر منك الشيطان فارجع عن هذا ثكلتك اُمك وتب، فأبى فحبسه واستتابه ثلاثة أيام فلم يتب، فأحرقه بالنار وقال: إن الشيطان استهواه، فكان يأتيه ويلقي في روعه ذلك

Husain Ibn Ali (a.) reported, that Imam Al-Hasan (a.) said: ,,Someone came before the Commander of the Faithful (a.) and said: ﴾O Commander of the Faithful, tell me about: ,,..in the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful…” what is meant by this?﴿ The Imam (a.) said: ﴾The word God (Allah) uttered by you is the highest of the names of God and it is the name, by which none but God is to be called and by which none﴿ The Imam (a.) said: ﴾The word God (Allah) uttered by you is the highest of the names of God and it is the name by which none but God is to be called and by which no creature is named with.﴿” [At-Tawhid of As-Saduq, page 231, Hadith 5]

عن علي بن الحسين عن الحسين بن علي عن الحسن بن علي صلوات الله عليهم عن أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام أن رجلا قام إليه: فقال: يا أمير المؤمنين أخبرني عن بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم ما معناه؟ فقال إن قولك الله أعظم اسم من أسماء الله عز وجل وهو الاسم الذي لا ينبغي أن يسمى به غير الله ولم يتسم به مخلوق

It was reported, to Kardin that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said: ,,When the Commander of the Faithful (a.) disposed himself of the people of Basrah, seventy men from India came before him and gave him their greetings of peace. They spoke to him in their language and he answered them in their language. Then he said to them: ﴾I am not what you said. I am the servant of God, a creature.﴿ But they defied him and said: ﴾You are He.﴿ The Imam (a.) said to them: ﴾If you do not stop and repent from that, which you have said about me and repent before God, then I will execute you.﴿ But they refused, to turn back from it and repent, so he gave the order, that they should﴿ But they refused, to turn back from it and repent, so he gave the order, that one digs hollows for them. So they dug out hollows and he had them tied together. Then he threw them in there. Then he covered their tops. Then he lit a fire in a hollow of theirs, in which none of them was in it and the smoke reached to them in it, whereupon they died.” [Al-Kafi of Al-Kulaini, Volume 7, Page 166, Hadith 23]

محمد بن يحيى، عن أحمد بن محمد بن عيسى، عن ابن محبوب، عن صالح بن سهل، عن كردين، عن رجل، عن أبي عبد الله، وأبي جعفر عليهما السلام قال: إن أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام لما فرغ من أهل البصرة أتاه سبعون رجلا من الزط فسلموا عليه وكلموه بلسانهم فرد عليهم بلسانهم، ثم قال لهم: إني لست كما قلتم أنا عبد الله مخلوق، فأبوا عليه و قالوا: أنت هو، فقال لهم: لئن لم تنتهوا وترجعوا عما قلتم في وتتوبوا إلى الله عز وجل لاقتلنكم فأبوا أن يرجعوا ويتوبوا فأمر أن تحفر لهم آبار فحفرت ثم خرق بعضها إلى بعض، ثم قذفهم ثم خمر رؤوسها ثم الهبت النار في بئر منها ليس فيها أحد منهم فدخل الدخان عليهم فيها فماتوا
