Question:

Is it a duty, to disassociate from the enemies of the people of the House (a.)?

Answer:

Al-A’mash reported that Imam Ja’far As-Sadiq (a.) said: ,,The love for the guardians of God and turning to them is obligatory and it is obligatory to disassociate from their enemies and from those who oppressed the family of Muhammad (s.), who ripped her veil, who took away Fadak from Fatimah (a. ), who denied her share of the inheritance, who seized the rights of her and her husband, who wanted her house to be burned, who implemented oppression and who distorted the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (s). It is obligatory to disassociate oneself from those, who broke their oaths, those who were inclined towards the wrong and those who left Islam like an arrow from a bow. It is obligatory to disassociate from the sacrificial stones, the arrows, the imams of misguidance and all the tyrannical rulers from the first to the last of them. It is obligatory to disassociate from the most unfortunate of the former and the later, from the cutting of the tendon of the camel of Thamud (7:77) and from the murderer of the Commander of the Faithful (a.). It is obligatory to disassociate from all the murderers of the people of the House (a.).” [Bihar-ul-Anwar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 27 page 52 Hadith 2]
