Jabir reported, that the Prophet (s.) said to Ali (a.):,,Do you not find it pleasing, that you have a position from me like Aaron had from Moses? Except that after me, there is no prophet and if that were so, you would be.” [Al-Amali of At-Tusi, page 598, Hadith 1242]

أبو عبد الله محمد بن محمد بن النعمان عن جماعة عن أبي المفضل عن محمد ابن مزيد بن محمود الأزهري وابن أبي الأزهر البوشنجي النحوي عن أبي كريب محمد بن العلاء عن إسماعيل بن صبيح اليشكري عن أبي أويس عن محمد بن المنكدر عن جابر بن عبد الله أن النبي صلى الله عليه وآله قال لعلي عليه السلام: ألا ترضى أن تكون مني كهارون من موسى إلا أنه لا نبي بعدي ولو كان لكنته

As-Sadiq (a.) reported that the Prophet (s.) said to Ali (a.): ,,If I were not the seal of the prophets, you would be a partner in prophethood. Although you are not a prophet, you are the authorized representative of a prophet and his heir. Rather, you are the master of the authorized ones and leader of the mindful ones.” [Ghaiat-ul-Maram of Al-Bahrani, volume 2, page 175]

عبد الحميد بن هبة الله عن جعفر بن محمد الصادق عليه السلام عن النبي صلى الله عليه وآله أنه قال لعلي عليه السلام: لولا إني خاتم الأنبياء لكنت شريكا في النبوة فإن لم تكن نبيا فإنك وصي نبي ووارثه بل أنت سيد الأوصياء وإمام الأتقياء

Muhammad ibn Ali reported that Prophet Muhammad (s.) said: ,,Ali is the master of the Arabs.” Then A’ishah said: ,,O Messenger of God, are you not the master of the Arabs?” So he said: ,,I am the master of the children of Adam and Ali is the master of the Arabs.” Then she said: ,,O Messenger of God, what is the master?” He said: ,,The one, to whom obedience is as obligatory as obedience to me is obligatory.” [At-Tawhid of As-Saduq, page 207]

محمد بن علي بن بابويه عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله قال: علي سيد العرب فقالت عائشة: يا رسول الله ألست سيد العرب فقال: أنا سيد ولد آدم وعلي سيد العرب فقالت: يا رسول الله وما السيد قال: من افترضت طاعته كما افترضت طاعتي

Muhammad ibn Fudail reported that Imam Al-Kazim (a.) said: ,,The leadership of Ali (a.) is written in all the scriptures of the prophets and God will not send a messenger except with the prophecy of Muhammad (s.) and the guardianship of Ali (a.).” [Al-Kafi of Al-Kulaini, Volume 1, Page 437, Hadith 6]

محمد بن يحيى عن أحمد بن محمد بن عيسى عن الحسن بن محبوب عن محمد بن الفضيل عن موسى بن جعفر الكاظم عليه السلام قال: ولاية علي عليه السلام مكتوبة في جميع صحف الأنبياء ولن يبعث الله رسولا إلا بنبوة محمد صلى الله عليه وآله ووصية علي عليه السلام

Abdullah ibn Abbas reported that Prophet Muhammad (s.) said: ,,I am the master of the prophets and messengers.” [Al-Amali of As-Saduq, page 374, hadith 471]

علي بن أحمد عن محمد بن جعفر عن محمد بن إسماعيل عن جعفر بن أحمد عن أبيه عبد الملك بن عمير عن أبيه عن جده عن عبد الله بن عباس عن النبي صلى الله عليه وآله قال: أنا سيد الأنبياء والمرسلين

Muhammad Mahdi Al-Ha’iri writes: ,,As-Sadiq (a.) was asked about Ibrahim, the son of the Messenger of God (s.). He said: ﴾If he had remained alive, he would have been a true prophet and would have followed his father.﴿” [Shajarat Tuba, Volume 1, page 32]

قال الشيخ محمد مهدي الحائري: سئل الصادق عليه السلام عن إبراهيم بن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم قال: لو كان بقي كان صديقا نبيا وكان على منهاج أبيه

Al-Husain (a.) reported that Prophet Muhammad (s.) said: ,,I am the master of the children of Adam and that without presumption. I am the Seal of the Prophets, the Guide (imam) of the Mindful and the Messenger of the Lord of the Worlds.” [Al-Ikhtisas of Al-Mufid, page 33]

عبد الرحمن بن إبراهيم عن الحسين بن مهران عن الحسين بن عبد الله عن أبيه عن جده عن جعفر بن محمد الصادق عن محمد بن علي الباقر عن الحسين بن علي عليه السلام عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله قال: أنا سيد ولد آدم ولا فخر أنا خاتم النبيين وإمام المتقين ورسول رب العالمين

Hasan Ibn Yusuf Ibn Mutahhar Al-Hilli writes: ,,One day the Messenger of God (s.) went out of his house, whereupon he discovered a paper in the hand of Umar. Then he said: ﴾What is this?﴿ So he said: ﴾From the Torah.﴿ Then he was angry with him and threw it out of his hand and said: ﴾If Moses or Jesus were alive, then they would have no choice but to follow me.﴿” [Tadhkirat-ul-Fuqaha’, Volume 9, page 390]

قال الشيخ الحسن بن يوسف بن مطهر الحلي: خرج رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله يوما من داره فوجد في يد عمر صحيفة فقال: ما هي فقال: من التوراة فغضب عليه ورماها من يده، وقال: لو كان موسى أو عيسى حيين لما وسعهما إلا اتباعي

Ja’far As-Sadiq (a.) reported that Prophet Muhammad (s.) said: ,,I am the master of the prophets, my guardian is the master of the guardians and his guardians are the masters of the guardians.” [Kamal-ud-Din of As-Saduq, Volume 1, page 239 – 240, Hadith 1]

محمد بن الحسن بن أحمد بن الوليد عن محمد بن الحسن الصفار وسعد بن عبد الله وعبد الله بن جعفر الحميري عن أحمد بن محمد بن عيسى ومحمد بن الحسين بن أبي الخطاب والهيثم بن أبي مسروق النهدي وإبراهيم بن هاشم عن الحسن بن محبوب السراد عن مقاتل بن سليمان بن دوال دوز عن جعفر بن محمد الصادق عليه السلام عن النبي صلى الله عليه وآله قال: أنا سيد النبيين ووصيي سيد الوصيين وأوصياؤه سادة الأوصياء

Jabir ibn Abdillah reported that Prophet Muhammad (s.) said: ,,If Ibrahim was alive, he would be a prophet.” [Tafsir-ul-Kufi, page 586, Hadith 755]

فرات بن إبراهيم عن عبيد بن كثير عن جابر بن عبد الله عن النبي صلى الله عليه وآله قال: لو عاش إبراهيم لكان نبيا

Muhammad ibn Ali As-Saduq writes: ,,Jamil ibn Darraj asked Abu Abdillah (As-Sadiq) about the children of the Prophets (a.), whereupon he said: ﴾They are not like the children of the people.﴿ And he asked him about Ibrahim, the son of the Messenger of God (s. ): ﴾If he had remained alive, then would he be a true prophet?﴿ He said: ﴾If he had remained alive, then he would follow his father.﴿” [Man La Yahduruh-ul-Faqih, Volume 3, Page 490]

قال الشيخ محمد بن علي الصدوق: سأل جميل بن دراج أبا عبد الله عليه السلام عن أطفال الأنبياء عليهم السلام فقال: ليسوا كأطفال الناس وسأله عن إبراهيم بن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله لو بقي كان صديقا نبيا قال: لو بقي كان على منهاج أبيه صلى الله عليه وآله

Abu Abdi l-Qasim reported Prophet Muhammad (s.): ,,Umar came to the Messenger of God (s.), whereupon he said: ﴾We hear narrations from the Jews that we like. So we decide to write down a few of it.﴿ Then he said: ﴾Are you confused like the Jews and Nazarenes were confused? I conveyed it to you white and loud and if Moses was alive, he would have no choice but to follow me.﴿” [Bihar-ul-Anwar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 30, page 178 – 179, Hadith 39]

محمد بن علي بن بابويه عن محمد بن هارون الزنجاني عن علي بن عبد العزيز عن أبي عبد القاسم بن سلام رفعه إلى النبي صلى الله عليه وآله قال: أتى عمر رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله فقال: إنا نسمع أحاديث من يهود تعجبنا فترى أن نكتب بعضها فقال: أمتهوكون أنتم كما تهوكت اليهود والنصارى لقد جئتكم بها بيضاء نقية ولو كان موسى حيا ما وسعه إلا اتباعي

Ali Ibn Abi Talib (a.) reported that Prophet Muhammad (s.) said: ,,I am the master of the first and the last and you, O Ali, are the master of the creation after me. The first of us is like the last of us and the last of us is like the first of us.” [Bihar-ul-Anwar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 26, Page 316, Hadith 79]

الفضل بن شاذان عن علي بن أبي طالب عليه السلام عن النبي صلى الله عليه وآله قال: أنا سيد الأولين والآخرين وأنت يا علي سيد الخلائق بعدي أولنا كآخرنا وآخرنا كأولنا

Mujalid reported that Ash-Sha’bi said: ,,Umar came to the Prophet (s.) with a paper on which he wrote the Torah in Arabic. So he read it to him, after which anger was seen on his face. Then he said: ﴾I seek refuge with God and His Messenger from his anger.﴿ So the Prophet (s.) said: ﴾Do not ask the People of the Book about anything, for they do not guide you and have been misguided and perhaps they tell you false things, upon which you believe them, or true things, upon which you accuse them of lying. If Moses (a.) were among you, he would have no choice but to follow me.﴿” Hasan ibn Sulaiman said: ,,Accordingly, if Moses (a.) had lived at the time of Muhammad (s.), he would have had no choice but to follow him and he would belong to his nation and would have to obey his guardian, the Commander of the Faithful (a.), as well as the guardians (a.) after him.” [Bihar-ul-Anwar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 26, page 315 – 316, Hadith 78]

الفضل بن شاذان عن أبي يوسف عن مجالد عن الشعبي: أن عمر أتى النبي صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم بصحيفة قد كتب فيها التوراة بالعربية فقرأها عليه فعرف الغضب في وجهه فقال: أعوذ بالله وبرسوله من سخطه فقال النبي صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم: لا تسألوا أهل الكتاب عن شيء فإنهم لا يهدونكم وقد ضلوا وعسى أن يحدثوكم بباطل فتصدقوهم أو بحق فتكذبوهم فلو كان موسى عليه السلام بين أظهركم لما حل له إلا أن يتبعني قال الحسن بن سليمان: فعلى هذا لو كان موسى عليه السلام في زمن محمد صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم لما وسعه إلا اتباعه وكان من أمته ووجب عليه طاعة وصيه أمير المؤمنين والأوصياء من بعده عليهم السلام

Abdullah Ibn Muskan reported that Faid Ibn Abi Shaibah said: ,,I heard Abu Abdillah (As-Sadiq) speaking and he read this verse: ﴾When God made the covenant with the Prophets.﴿ (3:81) He said: ﴾To believe in the Messenger of God (s.) and to help Ali, the Commander of the Faithful (a.).﴿ I said: ﴾To help the Commander of the Faithful (a.)?﴿ He said: ﴾Yes, by God, starting from Adam. For God did not send a prophet nor a messenger except that He let them all return to this world until they fight in the presence of Ali Ibn Abi Talib, the Commander of the Believers (a.).﴿” [Al-Mukhtasar of Al-Hilli, page 128, hadith 32]

أحمد بن محمد بن عيسى عن محمد بن سنان عن عبد الله بن مسكان عن فيض بن أبي شيبة قال: سمعت أبا عبد الله عليه السلام يقول وتلا هذه الآية وإذ أخذ الله ميثاق النبيين الآية قال ليؤمنن برسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم ولينصرن عليا أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام قلت ولينصرن أمير المؤمنين قال نعم والله من لدن آدم عليه السلام فهلم جرا فلم يبعث الله نبيا ولا رسولا إلا رد جميعهم إلى الدنيا حتى يقاتلون بين يدي علي بن أبي طالب أمير المؤمنين صلوات الله عليه

Muhammad ibn Fudail reported that Imam Al-Kazim (a.) said: ,,The leadership of Ali (a.) is written in all the scriptures of the prophets and God will not send a prophet except with the prophecy of Muhammad (s.) and the leadership of his guardian Ali (a.).” [Basa’ir-ud-Darajat of As-Saffar, page 92, Hadith 1]
