Affan Al-Basri reported that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said:,,Do you know why it was called Qum?” I said: ,,God, His Messenger and you are more knowledgeable.” He said: ,,It was called Qum merely because its people, gather with the Rising one (Qa’im) of the family of Muhammad (s.) and they rise up with him and align themselves with him and help him.” [Al-Bihar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 57, Page 216]
عفان البصري عن جعفر بن محمد الصادق عليه السلام قال: أتدري لم سمي قم قلت: الله ورسوله وأنت أعلم. قال: إنما سمي قم لان أهله يجتمعون مع قائم آل محمد صلوات الله عليه ويقومون معه ويستقيمون عليه وينصرونه
Thuwair Ibn Abi Fakhitah reported that Imam Zain-ul-Abidin (a.) said: ,,When our Rising one (Qa’im) rises, God removes the infirmity from our followers and makes their hearts like pieces of iron and transforms the strength of someone of them into the strength of forty people and they will be the judges of the earth and its peaks.” [Al-Bihar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 52, Hadith 317]
ثوير بن أبي فاختة عن علي بن الحسين زين العابدين عليه السلام قال: إذا قام قائمنا أذهب الله عز وجل عن شيعتنا العاهة وجعل قلوبهم كزبر الحديد، وجعل قوة الرجل منهم قوة أربعين رجلا ويكونون حكام الأرض وسنامها
Abu Muslim Al-Abdi reported that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said: ,,The earth of Qum is holy and its people are from us and we are from them. No ruler wants bad things for it, except that their punishment will be hastened, as long as they do not deceive their brothers and sisters, because if they do, then God will let bad rulers rule over them. Behold, they are the helpers of our Rising one (Qa’im) and the callers to our right.” Then he raised his head to heaven and said: ,,God, protect them from all the temptation and save them from all the destruction.” [Al-Bihar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 57, page 218 – 219]
أبو مسلم العبدي عن جعفر بن محمد الصادق عليه السلام قال: تربة قم مقدسة وأهلها منا ونحن منهم لا يريدهم جبار بسوء إلا عجلت عقوبته ما لم يخونوا إخوانهم فإذا فعلوا ذلك سلط الله عليهم جبابرة سوء أما إنهم أنصار قائمنا ودعاة حقنا ثم رفع رأسه إلى السماء وقال: اللهم اعصمهم من كل فتنة ونجهم من كل هلكة
Ayyub ibn Yahya reported that Imam Al-Kazim (a.) said: ,,A man from the people of Qum calls people to justice. People gather with him like pieces of iron. The stormy winds do not make them stumble and they do not get tired of war. They are not despondent and they trust in God and to the mindful belongs the outcome.” [Al-Bihar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 57, Page 216]
أيوب بن يحيى عن موسى بن جعفر الكاظم عليه السلام قال: رجل من أهل قم يدعوا الناس إلى الحق يجتمع معه قوم كزبر الحديد لا تزلهم الرياح العواصف ولا يملون من الحرب ولا يجبنون وعلى الله يتوكلون والعاقبة للمتقين
Mufaddal Ibn Umar reported that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said: ,,When God allows the the rising one (Qa’im) to come forward, he ascends the pulpit and calls the people to him and implores them by God and calls them to his right and that he will treat them according to the manner of behavior of the messenger of God (s.) and deal with them according to his dealings. Then God sends Gabriel until he comes to him. Then he comes down at Hatim. Hereupon he says to him: ﴾To what do you call?﴿ Then the Rising one (Qa’im) informs him, whereupon Gabriel says: ﴾I am the first to swear allegiance to you. Stretch out your hand.﴿ Then he strokes his hand while more than three hundred and ten people have come to him to take the oath of allegiance and he remains in Mecca until his companions are completed to ten thousand. Thereupon he goes from there to Medina.” [Al-Bihar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 52, pages 337 – 338]
المفضل بن عمر عن جعفر بن محمد الصادق عليه السلام قال: إذا أذن الله عز وجل للقائم في الخروج، صعد المنبر، ودعا الناس إلى نفسه وناشدهم بالله ودعاهم إلى حقه وأن يسير فيهم بسيرة رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله ويعمل فيهم بعمله، فيبعث الله جل جلاله جبرئيل عليه السلام حتى يأتيه فينزل على الحطيم ثم يقول له: إلى أي شئ تدعو فيخبره القائم عليه السلام فيقول جبرئيل عليه السلام أنا أول من يبايعك ابسط يدك، فيمسح على يده، وقد وافاه ثلاثمائة وبضعة عشر رجلا فيبايعونه ويقيم بمكة حتى يتم أصحابه عشرة آلاف أنفس ثم يسير منها إلى المدينة
Mufaddal Ibn Umar reported that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said: ,,O Mufaddal, any oath of allegiance before the appearance of the the Rising one (Qa’im) is an oath of allegiance of disbelief (kufr), hypocrisy and deceit. God curse the one, who takes the oath of allegiance and the one, who receives the oath of allegiance.” [Al-Bihar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 53, Page 8]
المفضل بن عمر عن جعفر بن محمد الصادق عليه السلام قال: يا مفضل كل بيعة قبل ظهور القائم عليه السلام فبيعته كفر ونفاق وخديعة لعن الله المبايع لها والمبايع له
Abdullah Ibn Abdi l-Aziz reported that Imam Ali (a.) said: ,,Beware of the deceivers, who are from the children of Fatimah (a.), for there are deceivers (Dajjal) who are from the children of Fatimah (a.).” [Al-Malahim by Ibn Tawus, page 123]
عبد الله بن عبد العزيز عن علي بن أبي طالب عليهما السلام قال: وإياكم والدجالين من ولد فاطمة فإن من ولد فاطمة دجالين
Jabir ibn Yazid reported that Imam al-Baqir (a.) said: ,,Beware of the deviants from the family of Muhammad (s.), for the family of Muhammad (s.) and Ali (a.) has a flag and others besides them have flags. So cling to the earth and never follow any of them, until you see a man from the descendants of Husain (a.), who has the covenant with the Prophet of God (s.) with him and his flag and his weapon.” [Al-Bihar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 52, Page 224]
جابر بن يزيد عن محمد بن علي الباقر عليه السلام قال: وإياك وشذاذ من آل محمد عليهم السلام فان لآل محمد وعلي راية ولغيرهم رايات فألزم الأرض ولا تتبع منهم رجلا أبدا حتى ترى رجلا من ولد الحسين معه عهد نبي الله ورايته وسلاحه
Zurarah reported that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said about the verse: ﴾We alternate these days among people﴿ (3:140): ,,Since God created Adam (a.), there has continuously been the turning (dawlah) of God and the turning of the devil. Now where is the turn of God? Is it not merely the Rising one (Qa’im)?” [Al-Bihar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 51, Page 54]
زرارة بن أعين عن جعفر بن محمد الصادق عليه السلام في قول الله: وتلك الأيام نداولها بين الناس قال: ما زال مذ خلق الله آدم دولة لله ودولة لإبليس فأين دولة الله أما هو الا قائم واحد
Thawban Ibn Bujdud reported that Prophet Muhammad (s.) said: ,,If you see that the black flags have come from Khurasan, come to them even if you have to crawl over ice to do so, for among them is the successor of God, the Guided (Mahdi).” [Al-Bihar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 51, Page 82]
ثوبان بن بجدد عن النبي صلى الله عليه وآله قال: إذا رأيتم الرايات السود قد أقبلت من خراسان فأتوها ولو حبوا على الثلج فان فيها خليفة الله المهدي
Abd-ul-Hamid Ibn Nasir reported that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said: ,,They dispute and reject the Imam, to whom obedience is a duty. By God, on earth there is no higher position with God than that of the one, to whom obedience is a duty. To Abraham, the command from God came down for a while, while obedience to him was not a duty, until God provided to honor and elevate him. Then He said: ﴾I will make you a leader for the people.﴿ (2:124) So Abraham recognized what was in it of advantage, whereupon he said: ﴾Also of my offspring.﴿ Then He said: ﴾My covenant does not extend to the wrongdoers.﴿” (2:124) Abu Abdillah (As-Sadiq) said: ,,That is: ﴾It is only for your progeny. It will not be for others besides them.﴿” [Al-Bihar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 25, page 142]
عبد الحميد بن نصير عن جعفر بن محمد الصادق عليه السلام قال: ينكرون الامام المفترض الطاعة ويجحدون به والله ما في الأرض منزلة أعظم عند الله من مفترض الطاعة فقد كان إبراهيم دهرا ينزل عليه الامر من الله وما كان مفترض الطاعة حتى بدا لله أن يكرمه ويعظمه فقال: إني جاعلك للناس إماما فعرف إبراهيم ما فيها من الفضل فقال: ومن ذريتي فقال لا ينال عهدي الظالمين قال أبو عبد الله عليه السلام: أي إنما هي ذريتك لا يكون في غيرهم
Muhammad ibn Sinan reported from some of his people that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said: ,,Whoever partook of the leadership of an Imam, which is from God, with someone whose leadership is not from God, he is an associator (mushrik).” [Al-Bihar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 23, Page 78]
محمد بن سنان عن بعض رجاله عن جعفر بن محمد الصادق عليه السلام قال: من أشرك مع إمام إمامته من عند الله من ليست إمامته من الله كان مشركا
Jabir ibn Abdillah reported that Imam Al-Baqir (a.) said about the verse ﴾God does not forgive one for associating with Him﴿ (4:48): ,,O Jabir, God does not forgive one, for partaking with the leadership of Ali ibn Abi Talib (a. ) and obedience to him and as for His word ﴾He forgives what is below it to whom He will﴿: (4:48) so it is with His leadership.” [Al-Bihar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 36, Page 136]
