Question:

Is obedience to the Iranian leader obligatory according to Al-Khumaini?

Answer:

Ruhullah Al-Khumaini writes: “‘if a just jurist takes the issue of forming a government in his hands, then he takes care of the social affairs which the prophet (s) takes on and the people are obliged to listen to him and obey him, and this judge rules in proportion of the administration, care and policy of the people just as the Messenger (s.) and the Commander of the Faithful (a.) ruled over it and in the manner in which the Messenger (s.) and the Imam (a.) are graced with the merits and special honors.” [Al-Hukumat-ul-Islamiyyah, p. 49]
