The heart is the sanctuary of God

Muhammad As-Sabzawari reported that Imam Ali (a.) said:“If it is important for your heart to know what position you have with God, look for what position God has with you. Thus, anyone who was given two things to choose from, the thing of this world and the thing of the hereafter, whereupon he chose the thing of the hereafter before this world, is the one whom God loves, and anyone who chose the thing of this world is the one who has no position with God.” And Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said: “The heart is the sanctuary of God. So let no one but God dwell in the sanctuary of God.” [Al-Bihar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 67, Page 25, Hadith 27]

محمد السبزواري في جامع الأخبار أو المعارج عن علي بن أبي طالب عليهما السلام قال: من أحب أن يعلم كيف منزلته عند الله فلينظر كيف منزلة الله عنده فان كل من خير له أمران أمر الدنيا وأمر الآخرة فاختار أمر الآخرة على الدنيا فذلك الذي يحب الله ومن اختار أمر الدنيا فذلك الذي لا منزلة لله عنده وقال الصادق عليه السلام: القلب حرم الله فلا تسكن حرم الله غير الله

Muhammad Ibn Sinan reported that Mufaddal Ibn Umar said: “I asked Abu Abdillah (As-Sadiq) about love. He said: “The hearts that are empty of the remembrance of God. God made them taste the love of someone other than Him.” [Al-Bihar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 70, Page 158, Hadith 1]

محمد بن علي بن الحسين عن محمد بن الحسن بن الوليد عن الحسن بن متيل عن ابن أبي الخطاب عن محمد بن سنان عن المفضل بن عمر رضي الله عنه قال: سألت أبا عبد الله عليه السلام عن العشق قال: قلوب خلت عن ذكر الله، فأذاقها الله حب غيره
