Isma’il Ibn Muhammad reported that Ahmad Ibn Hanbal said: “Whoever says that the Qur’an is created (Muhdath) is an disbeliever (Kafir).” [Al-Bidayah of Ibn Kathir, Volume 10 page 327]
عن إسماعيل بن محمد عن أحمد بن حنبل أنه قال من قال القرآن محدث فهو كافر
Abd-ur-Rahim reported that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said: “The Qur’an is the word of God, created (Muhdath), not fabrished (Makhluq).” [Al-Bihar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 89 Page 82]
عن عبد الرحيم عن الإمام الصادق عليه السلام أنه قال: القرآن كلام الله محدث غير مخلوق
Muhammad Ibn Ali As-Saduq writes: “We refrained from calling the Qur’an “fabrished” (Makhluq) only because “fabrished” can linguistically be something that is a lie and one says “a fabrished word” by which one means “lies”. [At-Tawhid, p. 225]
قال محمد بن علي الصدوق: وإنما امتنعنا من إطلاق المخلوق عليه لان المخلوق في اللغة قد يكون مكذوبا، ويقال: كلام مخلوق أي مكذوب
