“The preceding consists in the fact that there was disagreement as to whether addition to the Qur’an and deletion took place or not. Thus, according to the majority of traditionalists (Akhbari), distortion, addition and deletion took place and this is the most obvious from Al-Kulaini, his teacher Ali Ibn Ibrahim Al-Qumi and the scholar Ahmad Ibn Abi Talib, the author of Al-Ihtijaj and according to the Sayyid (Al-Murtada), As-Saduq, the investigator At-Tabarsi and the majority of the legal theorists have declared its invalidity and the statement of As-Saduq in his Al-I’tiqadat states that with what is found in the traditions – which suggest that in the Qur’an, the commander of the faithful (a. ) compiled, there is an increase that is not found in others, – That it is meant the sacred sayings (Qudsi) and not the Qur’an and this is absurd.” [Al-Qawanin-ul-Muhkamah, Volume 2, pages 321 – 322]
