Age of marriage of Aishah?

At what age was Aishah married to the Messenger (s.)?

Answer:

Abu Ayyub Al-Khazzaz reported that Isma’il Ibn Ja’far (a.) said: “The Prophet Muhammad (s.) attended A’ishah when she was ten years old and one does not attend a girl until she has matured into a woman.” [Al-Wasa’il of Al-Amili, Volume 1 Page 44 Hadith 5]

وعن علي بن إبراهيم عن محمد بن عيسى عن يونس عن أبي أيوب الخراز عن إسماعيل بن جعفر عليهما السلام أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم دخل بعائشة وهي بنت عشر سنين، وليس يدخل بالجارية حتى تكون امرأة

Zurarah reported that Imam Al-Baqir (a.) said: “One does not attend the girl until she reaches the age of nine or ten years.” [Al-Wasa’il of Al-Amili, Volume 19 Page 366 Hadith 2]

وعن صفوان عن موسى بن بكر عن زرارة عن الإمام الباقر عليه السلام أنه قال: لا يدخل بالجارية حتى يأتي لها تسع أو عشر سنين
