The messenger (s.) had power of forty men

Sa’d ibn Sa’d reported that Hasan ibn Jahm said: “I saw Abu l-Hasan Ar-Rida (a.) taking a dyeing and said: ” May my life be sacrificed to you, did you take a dyeing?” He said: “Yes, dyeing increases the chastity of women and women already discarded chastity because their husbands refrained from dyeing.” Then he said: “Does it please you to see her in the state in which she sees you when you have not dressed up?” I said: “No.” He said: “So that is it.” Then he said: “To clean oneself, to put on good perfumes, to shave off one’s hair, and to have frequent sexual intercourse is part of the morals of the prophets. Solomon son of David (a.) had a thousand wives in a single palace, out of which 300 were free wives and 700 were bondwomen, and the Messenger of God (s.) possessed fertility of forty men and he had nine wives and every day and night he practiced intercourse with them one after another.” [Al-Kafi of Al-Kulaini, vol. 5, page 343, hadith 50]

عدة من أصحابنا عن أحمد بن محمد بن خالد عن أبيه أو غيره عن سعد بن سعد عن الحسن بن جهم قال: رأيت أبا الحسن عليه السلام اختضب فقلت جعلت فداك اختضبت فقال نعم إن التهيئة مما يزيد في عفة النساء ولقد ترك النساء العفة بترك أزواجهن التهيئة، ثم قال: أيسرك أن تراها على ما تراك عليه إذا كنت على غير تهيئة؟ قلت لا قال فهو ذاك ثم قال من أخلاق الأنبياء التنظف والتطيب وحلق الشعر وكثرة الطروقة ثم قال كان لسليمان بن داود عليه السلام ألف امرأة في قصر واحد ثلاثمائة مهيرة وسبعمائة سرية وكان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله له بضع أربعين رجلا وكان عنده تسع نسوة وكان يطوف عليهن في كل يوم وليلة

Ibrahim ibn Mu’rid reported that Imam Al-Baqir (a.) said: “Umar entered Hafsah and said: “How is the Messenger of God in that, in which the men are engaged?” She said: “He is nothing but a man from among men.” Thereupon God showed His pride for His Prophet (s) and sent down to him a dish called harisah made of grain ears of Paradise. He consumed it, whereupon his fertility increased to that of forty men.” [Al-Mahasin of Al-Barqi, page 404, Hadith 106.]

عنه عن معاوية بن حكيم عن عبد الله بن المغيرة عن إبراهيم بن معرض عن أبي جعفر عليه السلام قال: إن عمر دخل على حفصة فقال: كيف رسول الله فيما فيه الرجال؟ فقالت: ما هو إلا رجل من الرجال فأنف الله لنبيه صلى الله عليه وآله فأنزل إليه صحفة فيها هريسة من سنبل الجنة فأكلها فزاد في بضعه بضع أربعين رجلا

Hisham Ibn Salim reported that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said: “The Messenger of God (s.a.), Ali, Fatimah, Hasan and Husain (a.) sat down and had a meal and for intercourse the Messenger (s.) was given the power of forty men by this meal and when he wanted, he would have intercourse with all his wives in a single night.” Yusuf Ibn Ahmad Al-Bahrani writes: “Authentic (Sahih).” [Al-Hada’iq, Vol. 23, p. 150.]

عن محمد بن يعقوب عن محمد بن يحيى عن أحمد بن محمد عن علي بن الحكم عن هشام بن سالم عن الإمام الصادق عليه السلام قال: فجلس رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم وعلي وفاطمة والحسن والحسين عليهم الصلاة والسلام، فأكلوا وأعطي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله في المباضعة من تلك الأكلة قوة أربعين رجلا فكان إذا شاء غشي نساءه كلهن في ليلة واحدة وقال الشيخ يوسف البحراني: صحيح

Husain ibn Ali (a.) reported that Imam Ali (a.) said: “The Prophet (s.) was asked: “O Messenger of God, was a table sent down to you from heaven?” He said: ‘A food called Harisah was sent down to me, from which I ate, whereupon God increased my strength in gripping to that of forty men.” [Al-Mustadrak of An-Nuri, Volume 16, Page 355, Hadith 20149]

الجعفريات باسناده عن جعفر بن محمد عن أبيه عن جده علي بن الحسين عن أبيه عن علي بن أبي طالب عليه السلام قال: قالوا لرسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله يا رسول الله هل نزلت عليك مائدة من السماء؟ فقال: أنزلت علي هريسة فأكلت منها فزاد الله في قوتي قوة أربعين رجلا في البطش

Abu Basir reported that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said: “God gave His Messenger (s.) one of the foods of Paradise called harisah, which was grown in the gardens of Paradise and abraded from the women of Paradise. The Messenger of God (s.) consumed it, whereupon his fertility increased to that of forty men, and this is a thing with which God wished to please His Prophet (s.).” [Al-Wasa’il of Al-Amili, Volume 25, Page 69, Hadith 31208]

وعن محمد بن يحيى عن أحمد بن محمد بن عيسى عن محمد بن سنان عن منصور الصيقل عن أبيه عن أبي بصير عن أبي عبد الله عليه السلام قال: إن الله عز وجل أهدى إلى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله هريسة من هرايس الجنة غرست في رياض الجنة وفركتها حور العين فأكلها رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله فزادت في قوته بضع أربعين رجلا وذلك شئ أراد الله عز وجل أن يسر به نبيه صلى الله عليه وآله

Ali Ibn Abi Talib (a.) reported that Prophet Muhammad (s.) said: “I became too weak for prayer and intercourse. Therefore, a vessel was sent down to me from heaven and I took a food. Thereupon my strength in gripping and intercourse increased to that of forty men and the food is harisah.” [Uyun-ul-Akhbar of As-Saduq, Volume 2, Page 39, Hadith 88]

بالاسانيد الثلاثة المتقدمة عن الرضا عن آبائه عليهم السلام عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله قال: ضعفت عن الصلاة والجماع فنزلت علي قدر من السماء فأكلت فزاد في قوتي قوة أربعين رجلا في البطش والجماع وهو الهريس
