Imam as-Sadiq (a) said: “Nuh (a) boarded his ark on the first day of the month of Rajab and ordered his companions to fast on that day. He said that one is distanced from Hell for a year if he fasts on that day. Someone who fasts for seven days, the seven gates of hell will be closed for him. Someone who fasts eight days, all eight gates of Paradise will be opened for him. Someone who fasts for fifteen days, his problems will be solved. Someone who fasts longer, Allah (swt) guarantees him a greater reward.” [Thawabul Amal, page 77]

حدثنا سعد بن عبد الله عن أحمد بن محمد بن عيسى عن أحمد بن محمد بن أبي نصر البزنطي عن أبان بن عثمان عن كثير النوا عن أبي عبد الله عليه السلام قال: ان نوحا ركب السفينة أول يوم من رجب فأمر من معه أن يصوموا ذلك اليوم وقال من صام ذلك اليوم تباعدت عنه النار مسيرة سنة ومن صام سبعة أيام أغلقت عنه أبواب النيران السبعة ومن صام ثمانية أيام فتحت له أبواب الجنة الثمانية ومن صام خمسة عشر يوما أعطى مسألته ومن زاد زاده الله عز وجل

Imam al-Kadhim (a) said: ,,Rajab is a river in Paradise, it is whiter than milk and sweeter than honey. Someone who fasts one day in this month, Allah (swt) makes him drink from this river.” [Thawabul Amal, page 78]

حدثني محمد بن الحسن قال حدثني الحسن بن الحسين بن عبد العزيز المهتدي عن سيف بن المبارك بن يزيد مولى أبي الحسن موسى عليه السلام عن أبيه المبارك عن أبي الحسن قال: رجب نهر في الجنة أشهد بياضا من اللبن وأحلى من العسل من صام يوما من رجب سقاه الله عز وجل من ذلك النهر

Imam al-Kadhim said: “Rajab is a great month. Allah (swt) doubles the good deeds and erases the sins in this month. One who fasts for one day, Hell distances itself from him at a distance of one hundred years and Paradise is guaranteed to him if he fasts for three days.” [Thawabul Amal, page 78]
