Satan the divider of believers

ʿAlī ibn Ibrāhīm from his father, from Ibn Abī ʿUmair, from Ibn Uḏainah, from Zurārah that Abū Jaʿfar (al-Bāqir) said: Satan always incites the believers against each other as long as one of them does not turn away from his religion. When they do so, Satan lies down on his back and stretches himself. Then he says: »I have gained the victory.« May God have mercy on someone, who has reconciled, between the two, who are close to each other. O you believers, be connected and compassionate with each other.”’ [Al-Kafi of Al-Kulaini, Volume 2, Page 345]
