The real life (29:64)

,,The life of this world is nothing but distraction and play and the abode of the hereafter is the real life, if only they knew.” [Al-Ankabut 29:64]

وما هذه الحياة الدنيا إلا لهو ولعب وإن الدار الآخرة لهي الحيوان لو كانوا يعلمون

Salman Al-Farisi reported, that Imam Ali (a.) was asked: ,,Tell me about Paradise. Is it in this world or in the hereafter? And where are the hereafter and this world?” He said: ,,This world is in the hereafter and the hereafter surrounds this world. Since the transition from life to death is apparent, the hereafter is the real abode of life (hayawan), if only they knew and that is because the hereafter is a transition, whilst the hereafter is walls and in a situation like that is the sleeper. This is because the body sleeps while the spirit does not sleep and the body dies while the spirit does not die. God said: ﴾The abode of the hereafter is the real life, if only they knew.﴿ (29:64) And this world is an image of the hereafter and the hereafter is an image of this world and neither is this world the hereafter nor is the hereafter the this world. When the spirit separates from the body, each returns to that from which it came forth and from which it was created.In the same way, paradise and fire are present both in this world and in the hereafter, because when the servant dies, he comes to a place of the abode from the earth. Either to a garden of the gardens of paradise or to a place of the places of fire. His spirit comes to one of two abodes. Either to a abpde of lasting delight, wherein there is no death, or to a abode of painful punishment, wherein there is no death. The picture is clearly present for the one who has understood (6:32) and God has said: By no means, if only you knew with the knowledge of certainty, you would see hell. Hereupon you will see it with the eye of certainty. Hereupon you will be questioned about delight on that day.﴿ (102:5-8) And about the disbelievers. Thus He said:﴾Their eyes were shielded from the remembrance of Me, and they failed to hear.﴿ (18:101) And if a man had the knowledge of what is therein, he would die for the love of death and whosoever was saved, it was by the grace of certainty.” [Bihar-ul-Anwar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 30, page 72 – 73, Hadith 1]

الحسن بن محمد الديلمي عن سلمان الفارسي رضي الله عنه عن علي بن أبي طالب عليهما السلام أنه سئل: أخبرني عن الجنة في الدنيا هي أم في الآخرة وأين الآخرة والدنيا قال عليه السلام: الدنيا في الآخرة والآخرة محيطة بالدنيا إذا كانت النقلة من الحياة إلى الموت ظاهرة كانت الآخرة هي دار الحيوان لو كانوا يعلمون، وذلك أن الدنيا نقلة والآخرة حياط ومقام مثل ذلك النائم، وذلك أن الجسم ينام والروح لا تنام والبدن يموت والروح لا تموت قال الله عز وجل: وإن الدار الآخرة لهي الحيوان لو كانوا يعلمون والدنيا رسم الآخرة والآخرة رسم الدنيا وليس الدنيا الآخرة ولا الآخرة الدنيا إذا فارق الروح الجسم يرجع كل واحد منهما إلي ما منه بدأ وما منه خلق، وكذلك الجنة والنار في الدنيا موجودة وفي الآخرة موجودة لان العبد إذا مات صار في دار من الأرض إما روضة من رياض الجنة وإما بقعة من بقاع النار وروحه إلى إحدى دارين إما في دار نعيم مقيم لا موت فيها وإما في دار العذاب أليم لا يموت فيها والرسم لمن عقل موجود واضح وقد قال الله تعالى: كلا لو تعلمون علم اليقين لترون الجحيم ثم لترونها عين اليقين ثم لتسئلن يومئذ عن النعيم وعن الكفار فقال إنهم: كانت أعينهم في غطاء عن ذكري وكانوا لا يستطيعون سمعا ولو علم الانسان علم ما هو فيه مات حبا من الموت ومن نجا فبفضل اليقين
