Marry non-Arabs?

Question:

Can you forbid marriage between Arabs and non-Arabs?

Answer:
Al-Fadl Ibn Abi Qurrah reported that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said: “There came related people to the commander of the faithful (a.) and they said: “We complain to you about the Arabs. The Messenger (s.) gave us the same as them and married Salman (Persian) and Bilal (Abyssinian) and Suhaib (Roman), but these people reject us and say: “We will not do that.”Then the Commander of the Faithful (a.) went to them and addressed them with words, but the Arabs cried: “O Father of Hasan, our Father is this and that.” Then the commander of the faithful (a.) left them while he was angry and threw his robe over himself. He said: “O you crowd of related people! they have put you on the level of the Jews and Nazarenes. They marry (with your daughters), but they do not marry them (their daughters) to you and they do not offer you what they take for themselves. Negotiate, May God bless you, for I heard the messenger say: “The giving of presents is of ten parts: Nine parts is through negotiation and one part through other things.”[Al-Kafi of Al-Kulaini, volume 5 page 191 Hadith 59]

أحمد بن محمد العاصمي، عن محمد بن أحمد النهدي، عن محمد بن علي، عن شريف ابن سابق، عن الفضل بن أبي قرة، عن أبي عبد الله عليه السلام قال: أتت الموالي أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام فقالوا: نشكو إليك هؤلاء العرب إن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله كان يعطينا معهم العطايا بالسوية وزوج سلمان وبلالا وصهيبا وأبوا علينا هؤلاء وقالوا: لا نفعل، فذهب إليهم أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام فكلمهم فيهم فصاح الأعاريب أبينا ذلك يا أبا الحسن أبينا ذلك فخرج وهو مغضب يجر رداؤه وهو يقول: يا معشر الموالي إن هؤلاء قد صيروكم بمنزلة اليهود والنصارى يتزوجون إليكم ولا يزوجونكم ولا يعطونكم مثل ما يأخذون فاتجروا بارك الله لكم فاني قد سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله يقول: الرزق عشرة أجزاء تسعة أجزاء في التجارة وواحدة في غيرها
