Question:

What reward do married people receive for prayer?

Answer:
Ibn Al-Qaddah reported that Imam Ja’far As-Sadiq (a.) said: “A man came to my father (Al-Baqir) and he (as) asked him: “Do you have a wife?” He answered: “No.” My father said: “I would not want to possess the world or what it contains if I had to spend a night while I had no wife.” Then he said: “Two bowings that a married man prays are better than a single man standing (in prayer) all night and fasting all day long. Then he gave him seven dinars and said: “Marry with it.” [Wasa’il-ush-Shi’ah by Al-Hurr Al-Amili, vol. 20 page 19 Hadith 4]
