Good deeds without prayer?

Abu Basir reported that Imam Al-Baqir (a.) said:“Every inattentiveness in prayer reduces something of it, but God balances it out with the additional (prayers). The first thing the servant has to account for is prayer. If it is accepted, then the other deeds are accepted. If prayer was performed in its earliest times, it returns to its owner while it is white and luminous, saying: ” You have preserved me, God preserve you.” If it was not done within its limited time, it returns to its owner while it is black and gloomy and says: “You have turned away from me, God is turning away from you.” [Al-Kafi by Al-Kulaini, Volume 3 Page 268 Hadith 4]

جماعة, عن أحمد بن محمد بن عيسى, عن الحسين بن سعيد, عن فضالة, عن حسين بن عثمان, عن سماعة, عن أبي بصير قال: سمعت أبا جعفر عليه السلام يقول: كل سهو في الصلاة يطرح منها غير أن الله تعالى يتم بالنوافل, إن أول ما يحاسب به العبد الصلاة فإن قبلت قبل ما سواها, إن الصلاة إذا ارتفعت في أول وقتها رجعت إلى صاحبها وهي بيضاء مشرقة تقول: حفظتني حفظك الله وإذا ارتفعت في غير وقتها بغير حدودها رجعت إلى صاحبها وهي سوداء مظلمة تقول: ضيعتني ضيعك الله

Muhammad Al-Baqir (a.) reported that the prophet Muhammad (s.) said: “The pillar of religion is prayer and it is the first act of the son of Adam to be looked upon. If it was performed properly, then its other deeds are examined, and if it was not performed properly, then none of its remaining deeds are examined.” [Tahdhib-ul-Ahkam of At-Tusi, Volume 2, page 237 Hadith 5]

وعنه عن محمد بن الحسين عن محمد بن عبد الله بن زرارة عن عيسى بن عبد الله الهاشمي عن أبيه عن جده عن علي عليه السلام قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله: إن عمود الدين الصلاة، وهي أول ما ينظر فيه من عمل ابن آدم فان صحت نظر في عمله وإن لم تصح لم ينظر في بقية عمله

Muhammad Ibn Ali reported that the Prophet Muhammad (s.) said: “The one who takes his prayer lightly is not one that belongs to me. He does not meet me at the pool (in the hereafter), no, by God! That one does not belong to me who drinks drunken beverages. He does not meet me at the pool, no, by God!” [Al-Muqni’ by As-Saduq, page 73]
