Birthday of Prophet Jesus (S)

Answer:

Hasan Ibn Ali reported that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) was told: “The Nazarenes say that the birth of Christ (a.) was on December 24.” He said: “They lied, because it was in the middle of June. The night and the day are the same in the middle of March.” [Mustadrak Safinat Al-Bihar of An-Namazi, Volume 9 page 298]

عن علي بن محمد عن الحسن بن علي عن الإمام الصادق عليه السلام قيل له: إن النصارى يقولون إن ليلة الميلاد في أربعة وعشرين من كانون فقال: كذبوا بل في النصف من حزيران ويستوي الليل والنهار في النصف من آذار

Abu Tahir Ibn Hamzah reported that Hasan Ibn Ali Al-Washsha’ said: “I was with my father when i was a young lad and we took food on the 25th night of the month Dhu-l-Qa’dah at Ali Ar-Rida (a.). Then he said: “On the 25th night of the month of Dhu l-Qa’dah, Abraham (a.) and Jesus, the son of Mary (a.) were born and the earth was spread out under the house of God, and also a number of other matters that nobody remembers. So he who fasts on this day is like him who fasts for 60 months.” [Thawab-ul-A’mal from As-Saduq, page 79]

عن أبي رحمه الله قال حدثنا أحمد بن إدريس قال حدثنا محمد بن أحمد قال حدثنا أحمد بن الحسين عن أبي طاهر بن حمزة عن الحسن بن علي الوشا قال كنت مع أبي وأنا غلام فتعشينا عند الرضا عليه السلام ليلة خمس وعشرين من ذي القعدة فقال ليلة خمس وعشرين من ذي القعدة ولد فيها إبراهيم وولد فيها عيسى بن مريم عليهما السلام وفيها دحيت الأرض من تحت الكعبة، وأيضا خصلة لم يذكرها أحد فمن صام ذلك اليوم كان كمن صام ستين شهرا
