Question:

Did the Prophet (s.) refute the assertion that Ali (a.) is not in the Qur’an?

Answer:

Muhammad Al-Baqir (a.) reported that Imam Zain-ul-Abidin (a.) said: “Umar Ibn Al-Khattab came to the Prophet Muhammad (s.) and said: “You always say to Ali: “Your position with me is the one that Aaron had with Moses. But God mentioned Aaron in the Qur’an, but He never mentioned Ali!” Thereupon the Prophet (s.) said: “Do you not hear God say: “This is the straight path of Ali?” (15:41) [Mi’at Manqabah of Ibn Shadhan, page 100 Hadith 85]
